SOURCE: micro SD card wont work

what is the capacity of your SD card? Some phone don't recognize a 4gb or 2gb, it's better to use 1gb SD card. Try to buy a memory card reader, put the SD card there and plug it on USB port to test if your SD card is working..

SOURCE: cant view video off my mini sd card when i put it in computer

Try Downloading Quicktime to your PC. Its free and it plays 3GP(Mobile Phone) and MP4. Which is probably the format your phone is saving the videos in.

Download Link is on the Left.

SOURCE: sd card, or device error when copying music files

If you are trying to play the file then it will be unmounted as it needs to disconnect from the pc to do that you could try copying them in batches if that doesnt work it may be a USB driver fault in which case i would reccomend reinstalling the G1 driver.

My phone says SD card is unmounted when its mounted. I have tried another SD card and it still says its unmounted what can I do to fix it. My phone is a Kyrocera.

is your card accessible? Im betting its a bent pin in the card slot. You may be able to use a dental pick (very thin strong metal pick) to gently pull the pins down ever so slightly to make contact with the card again. Sometimes gluing a tiny piece of foil over the card contact helps reach the bent card contact but thats assuming your phone is unrepairable and you dont have the money for a new one.

Says my sd card is unmounted or no files are on it. what happened to my files?

When you remove an SD card from its slot, you should *unmount* it first so you don't lose data. If you just pull it
out without first unmounting it, you could corrupt it and lose
data. This might have happened in your case or not. If you didn't remove it, try this.

Go to Settings>Storage>External SD, touch Unmount.
Then remove your SD card and using a Q-Tip and some
solvent like alcohol clean the copper contacts. Then slide it
back into the slot. The device should *Mount* it automatically.

If it still doesn't work, you could try hooking your device up to a computer via its USB cable and see if your computer can see any files on it. If it can't see any then somehow they could have gotten erased. Try loading them back. If they won't load and you get error messages, the SD card itself may have gone Kaput.

Phone has a virus from FBI and now cant get my phone to work. locked out

Your going to have to do a Hard factory reset. before doing so Clear all apps on your Card. But save all your phone numbers to it and unmount and remove. Then do the factory reset. This will keep you from losing all your contacts and having to put them in again.

Htc rhyme wont recognize sd card

Try the SD card in your computer, see if it is corrupted. If not, copy the files off of it and then re-format it - then try it in your phone.
If that does not work, try a fresh SD card in the phone (maybe borrow one?)
If that fails too, it may well be that the internal SD card reader in the phone has gone bad.

What type and size card? The phone works with microSD cards, 2GB and smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity microSDHC cards.

My Pantech sd card reader is not working

I don't know what machine you are using or the SD device GBs. Older machines sometimes do not read any SD over 2GBs. That said, there may be updated drivers for your machine and devices. Could be the file format isn't compatible. Hard to say with little info to work from.

Hi, my g1 has problem to read the sd card, when i try to use the camera, the phone says it does´nt have, and windows XP do recognize the phone

Need a little clarity on what your saying XP does recognize the SD card when you mount the phone to the computer, or it doesn't?

Well here is what you can try. and just remember ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS do this before removing your SD card from your phone.

Settings>SD card & phone storage>Unmount SD card

Now if your phone has "Unmount SD card" blacked out then don't worry about just go ahead and remove the SD card.

Take the card and put it in a card reader and put it in your computer. Go to: Start>My computer> (and the drive corresponding to the SD card.) and then try to open it. If a window comes up saying something like drive E: is not formatted, Format now? and then Ok or cancel well if this comes up it could be one of three reasons; the SD card is not properly formatted, SD card is damaged, or the SD card reader is not working properly. So before trying to format the SD card try another card reader or try it on a different computer. If that doesn't work try to format the SD card. If formatting the SD card doesn't work, you may need to buy another one. If you do decide to get another one check Amazon.com they have good prices for the SD cards however if you prefer local buying best place to go (that I've found) is Radio Shack. They always have sales on the MicroSD cards. One other thing. For some reason. SanDisk Micro Sd cards seem to work the best for the G1. The transend cards are utter **** and worthless. Avoid buying them anytime your in the market for a new SD card or USB flash drive.
