Question about Gateway nv Computers & Internet
I have the Gateway NV53A laptop! I do not have the money to get geek squad or any of those other computer fixers. What is going on: I love my laptop and am lost without it. I am pretty sure that a virus has gotten in, even though i had a good security, and i have done all things to get rid of it. Reset and completely cleared all memory..tried everything. It will start to turn on and a little alert pop up will come up and say this exactly: " The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered and unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proveed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the insallation." I have clicked ok, it then says setup is starting services and tries to start. The windows colors and logo pops up...but it just stays there and says all that again. Can someone please please help me, I will be so gratefull and it would be awesome knowing there are people out there willing to help!Any tips..or helpful hints are appreciated. Thanks! If there is a certain cd i need please tell me exactly how to get it and which one and how to use it!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Geek Squad Backup Disks
Usually you just put the first backup disk in the CD/DVD drive and restart/reboot the computer.
If it does'nt boot up you have to go in to the bios settings and change the boot sequence so that it boots from the CD/DVD rom instead of the Hard Drive. When it's finished the restore task you can either leave the bios settings as they are, or change it back to boot from the Hard Drive. Sometimes the backup/restore disks will put the PC back to the same as the day you bought it, which means completely wiping the Hard Drive and reloading the Operating System (Windows) and any programs that where installed at the time the disks were made. If you can run the backup/recovery from within Windows there will be a program in the Programs list on the Start menu. That way you usually keep anything that you have added since you bought the PC and it just reinstalls the Operating System to restore it back to it's original condition.
Hope this helps.

Seems like the preinstalled image is corrupt or there is a hardware problem. Contact Acer for the correct procedure since this is a new system. I could offer alternate methods if you have the Windows install disc, but it is best to contact the manufacturer as soon as possible so it is on record.
