Hp 750i ran out ink put in new cartridge now won`t print

Either the tape is still covering the print head or you have a dried up new one.

My pc says printer in back up mode


that means either the black or tricolor cartridge ran out of ink and it's currently utilizing only one cartridge.let say you ran out of blank ink but tricolor cartridge is still good you can still print or make a copy using only one cartridge but the quality won't be that good

HP all in one won't print - magenta ink level shows a ? Magenta level was low -maybe ran out I installed new hp magenta cartridge, but I don't remember taking any tape off it. Do I need a different...


Is it a genuine HP cartridge.
refilled one will show ?
Some model will not print if it thinks there is no ink.
There are reset devices for refill ink cartridges. cost very little of ebay etc.

My black ink ran out so I replaced the ink


Hi:
I have used the printer series that you have for years, and once in awhile, I get a new cartridge that won't immediately print. Often, there is just a bit of dried ink residue on the print head, and that won't allow the cartridge to work correctly.

Some simple things to try are :

1) Remove the black cartridge. and take a damp paper towel and gently swab the print head area. Next, apply some pressure to the sides of the black cartridge, until you see black ink oozing out of the print head. Repeat if needed. Once the ink starts flowing, blot off the excess, and install the cartridge.

If you can't get ink to flow, then the cartridge might be bad. Most of them have an expiration date on the packaging.

HP C6280 with new ink cartridges shows cartridges empty


First make sure you are placing the right
color cartridge into the right slot.
Most Printers are touchy about the
installation of ink cartridges. If the
instructions say to press the cartridge
into the slot until you hear a loud click,
that's what they mean. If at first you
don't succeed, remove the cartridge and
reinsert it into the slot again and press
on it hard till it clicks.
Then your printer should work properly.

We have long had an HP PSC 750. We don't print in color and a tech person at HP told us just to buy black cartridges and take out the old color cartridge & put it back in and set the printing prefs for...


You must replace the color ink cartidge because the inking system uses both cartridges even on just black prints.

Sad, but true. This is how HP makes their money. Selling ink, not printers.

HP support decided it could not be repaired on line, agreed to replace it but found it was a few days out of waranty...so it is dead in the water. Probably not cost effective to repair it.

Hi, You need to get a new ink cartridge. It is really not recommended to refill ink cartridges but if you do then it is advisable not to exceed 3 times because it could damage the printer head. If the new inks still gives error, then your printer head may need to be checked to see if it needs replacing. Good luck!
