When i record a program it sometimes is very red in colour why please

There are a couple of reasons, if the station you are viewing has a poor signal and is grainy that can add a red hew to the picture. The second reason if you record on extended "T120 tape 6 hours" it can cause the picture to be off color with more grain to the picture and a noticeable drop in audio. I recommend changing the speed to sp "T120 tape 2 hours" it will give you far better picture and sound quality.

You can choose whether or not to display the picture you have just taken on
the monitor.
ON : The picture being recorded to the card is displayed. This is useful for
making a brief check of the picture you have just taken. You can
resume shooting anytime during REC VIEW.
OFF : The picture being recorded to the card is not displayed. This is
useful when you want to prepare for your next shot while the
previous picture is being recorded.
1 In the shooting mode top menu,
select MODE MENU
 SETUP
REC VIEW OFF or ON, and press

Sound but no picture.

if you are able to playback previously recorded cassette and the picture is perfect then its not the head. then the problem is with the image grabbing section i.e. the CCD. May be its damaged and needs replacement.
