SOURCE: Zebra LP 2844 printer will not print anything but the test page

possibly not a real LP2844 but an LP2543, a printer mass produced for and used by UPS. refurbishers change the label and sell as LP2844 because they are almost identical.
if it has an AC-AC adapter, it is an LP2543. LP2844 uses a AC-DC adapter, and all LP2844's have USB ports.

Look at the stocks tab in the driver. There is an area in your print driver to adjust the width/height of the kind of label you are trying to use.

SOURCE: how do I restore factory settings to a zebra

The ^default command has been added to the EPL2 commands, starting in firmware version 4.39. This command will set the printer back to factory settings as long as the printer is in page mode. The command is not supported in line mode at this time. The command is case sensitive.
Syntax: ^default.
You can send the command to the printer via the parallel or serial port.
Parallel:
Open command prompt (DOS prompt) See windows instructions for details.
At the prompt type:
ECHO ^default>LPT1 <enter>
Serial:
Assuming standard communications on the printer of Baud 9600, No parity, 8 bits, 1 stop bit and use of COM 1:
At the prompt type:
Mode Com1:9600,n,8,1 <enter>
ECHO ^default>COM1 <enter>

I have Zebra LP 2844-Z printer and the barcodes

Here are 3 suggestions.

1
Check that your label size definition is correct, measure your label height in mm and check that your printer driver settings match.

2
Perform a calibration. How?? when printer is on labels loaded and green light, hold feed key and wait for 2 blinks then release feed key. (If you release it after 1 flash you will print a configuration label)

3
If you are using Zebra Designer, download latest version of Zdesigner V2. Install latest printer driver V2.63. This driver & Zdesigner allows you to calibrate the printer directly from within Zdesigner. Go to File/Printer settings/ advanced options and click calibrate at bottom of page. when printer calibrates then tick the box USE PRINTER SETTINGS and printer will now work properly.

Will the Zebra LP 2844 work in Quickbooks with Windows 7? I cannot get it to work. My computer is also 64 bit.

Quickbooks uses a DOS backend, you will need to set it up as a serial connection. If using a USB to Serail converter, you will need to find software to create a virtual Com Port to make it work.

Hi my zebra printer can print but when I scan it doesn't read. It only read nummer but don't read any letter. And all the barcode of mine is in letter en nummer. Can u solve this

If this is a normal LP2844 and you can't scan the barcodes it is printing, you will have a faulty printhead with a pixel or two blown.

Zebra TLP 2844 Controlling the font size w/iSeries??

Hi Burgymon,

The font that is used under the barcode will use the last font properties described prior to the barcode in the output. You may want to suppress the human readable option and create a separate text field to display the text version of the barcode contents.
