SOURCE: can I take my duracraft drill press chuck apart to clean it?

usually that requires special fixtures to remove the collar and a press, I would recommend cleaning with WD-40 and wiping clean all exposed parts and if you have compressed air try using that also, WEAR safety glasses.

I am. Trying to clean a duracraft 1997 but i. Cant get the blade to separate. From the motor

Some of them are not meant to be seperated, if it is, then it should have 2 slots opposite of eachother in the back of the blade where the plastic fan meets the steel rotating bar, or it could just be pressed on and you would have to pull it off with as much equal force all around the circumference of the back of the fan's main part, the entire round part, either way you need at least 3 hands to do the job, so have someone help you or just clean it as good as you can as it is, I don't think it really needs to be that clean aye'? LoL

Mine does the same when I try to start it on low. If I start it on hi after it gets going I then can turn it to low and works great. Hope this helps. Also you need to take it apart once a year , remove blades, take it outside and air blow the motor out .

Have a Duracraft DT-70. It is dirty and filled with cat hairs and grease on the blades. I can't figure out how to get it apart to clean it.

You will need to take this apart and use a good degeasing spray to remove off al the dirt. Use diesel/kerosene to wash well and clean it dry. Use a good paintt brush to wash off all dirt into the hidden areas.
Wipe dry finally to reset.

No vapor

you need to take a soft toothbrush and some cleaning solution to clean the coils. if the coils are too build up of scale it can reduce the mist or not produce any at all. if that doesn't work there is something internal that is going on and i would check with the manufacturer if your under warranty to get a new one.
