Samsung TV shutting off by itself and relays clicking

If you don't know what you're doing, don't open it up to fix it!
There are HAZARDOUS voltages on the power supply board EVEN WITH THE TV UNPLUGGED!!! The capacitors can hold a charge for several weeks!

Clicking noise can be coming from bad capacitors on the power supply board.

It's usually easier to just replace the power supply board.

Philips 42PFL5603D/10 relay clicking

Relay is on or connected to power supply--if clicks on and then off something (most likely on power board or something it feeds) is bad.

Some voltages from standby portion of power supply can be tested but since no paper schematics for this brand it will be hard.

WELL IT MAY SEEM LIKE THE END BUT ITS NOT. YOUR TV HAS BAD CAPACITORS ON THE POWER SUPPLY.. THESE CAPACITORS ARE PREVENTING THE RELAY TO STAY OPEN AND GIVE POWER TO THE REST OF YOUR TELEVISION.. THAT CLICKING SOUND YOU HEAR IS THE RELAY OPENING AND SHUTTING DOWN.. THOSE CAPACITORS NEED TO BE REPLACED.. IF YOU OPEN YOUR TV AND FOLLOW THE ELECTRICAL CORD.. IT FIRST CONNECTS TO YOUR POWER SUPPLY... LOOK FOR BAD CAPACITORS THAT ARE BULGY ON TOP.. OR BLOWN.. REPLACE WITH SAME VALUE... THE VOLTAGE COULD BE A LITTLE HIRE.. BUT TRY TO KEEP THE SAME.. BEFORE YOU TOUCH ANY OF THEM.. MAKE SURE YOUR TV HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED FOR 3 DAYS.. THOSE CAPACITORS HOLD ALOT OF POWER EVEN AFTER DISCONECTED... If your tv is within the one year warranty period then call 1-800-Samsung for warranty repair. Look at your tv purchase receipt for the Purchase Date. You have one year from the date of purchase to get warranty repair.
