Error Code: 2753 " Fatal Error or error MSI.dot4msi"

CAUSE:
Certain HP services (and associated DLL files) were somehow partially/improperly installed. (Possibly, from a previous failed install?)
The Windows services (files) were:
Pml Driver HPZ12 (C:\Windows\System32\HPZipm12.dll)
Net Driver HPZ12 (C:\Windows\System32\HPZinw12.dll)
The existence of these 2 files in the System32 directory was causing this error in my situation. Somehow, the installation script was not identifying that these files were already installed (or improperly installed) and failing to properly set them to be installed again.
SOLUTION:
Steps:
1) Check to make sure that the 2 Windows services above are not running (or not installed).
2) Rename/delete the 2 associated service DLL files (this will only be possible once the services are stopped)
3) Run the installation again.

Printer was left without ink cartridge installed for extended duration

nope..that's not really an issue with the drying out. it's more likely that the print cartridge MAY have the tape still installed. Try the steps again..and then do a test page.

HP print spooler problem and error 1068. Want my printer back!!!

Microsoft Operating System protocol is to install first and then always have drivers and applications install on top of them. More often than not the drivers are outdated and rendered unusable by many of the operating system updates and then need to be updated themselves by the relevant vendor or have to be uninstalled and then reinstalled. Of recent times this has become more and more of an issue due to complexities in the registry and in the COM fabric of the operating system. The registry often gets clogged up with superfluous entries and needs cleaning out to improve performance just like the HD inside the PC needs defragmenting occasionally. Unfortunately when many of the updates from Microsoft and many other software vendors are applied they leave their old entries in the registry and just write new ones - simply because it is convenient and easier for them to do so.

Uninstall the application and drivers using the HP remove utility. It is not sufficient to use the Operating System uninstall as it does not work that well. The Registry, Application, Folders and drivers need to be totally removed.

A registry clean is recommended. You can do this by downloading a free 30 day use of Ashampoo from www.ashampoo.com and clean up your system of all the unnecessary entries. I have been using it for a few years now with grate success and no problems. You can always restore any deleted entries before binning them forever.

Once completed then reboot the PC then reinstall the HP drivers and application. Make sure these are the latest ones available from HP support for your operating system at

Vista 32bit and print driver scx-4521F

The installation of the incorrect drivers just topped the vase. Before doing anything else, I recommend the following:

1. Use "System Restore" to take your computer to an earlier time BEFORE the driver installation took place [START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS]

2. On the same window as above, run "Disk Cleanup" and "Disk Defragment" in that order. Note that both utilities will take a considerable amount of time, if never performed before.

3. Install the correct driver for Windows Vista, which you can download from: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDown.do?group=&type=&subtype=&model_nm=SCX-4521FG/XAA&language=&dType=D&mType=SW&vType=L&prd_ia_cd=06010300

If you do not feel competent enough to perform the Windows cleaning procedure, do not hesitate into bringing in a PC expert. The type of chrash you suffered indicates a serious Windows Registry issue.
