Question about Mag Innovision M572TVs LCD Television
The tv is plugged into a surge protector/power strip with the rest of the A/V equip (DVR, DVD, receiver - all still working). The screen suddenly went black last night and now the set won't power on. I left it unplugged overnight to see if it would reset. It has not. I've tried switching out the power cable and plugging it in to different outlets to no avail. I also tried resetting the surge protector. I tried contacting MAG/Proview customer service but they are not available during the weekends.
Is there any way to reset/reboot this set? It also has monitor capabiliities.
There is a fuse in the tv on the main board if that fuse blows out the tv could should show this problem.
if any heavy voltage electrical current passes through the tv to avoid the major damage on the main board the fuse is there.so please check out this fuse.
if you dont have any major technical knowledge u can call a technician to replace the fuse.as the fuse is not very costly to replace.

This is a common problem
The first step is to check the fuse on the power supply board. Next, disconnect the inverter board to eliminate the possibility of it shorting down the main and or power boards. Be careful as the inverter board supplies high voltage to the cold cathode tubes (backlights) and it bites HARD. If you disconnect the inverter and the power led comes up then replace the inverter board. (The screen will appear blank because you have no backlighting). If the power indicator still fails to light you need to suspect the main board first before the powwer supply board. The main board tells the power supply board to come on. You need to check the trigger from the main board to the relays on the power supply board. Also check the power connector to the main board because you should see +12V and/or +5V on at least some of the pins. If no power on the relay triggers then replace logic board. Then replace Power supply board last. Or buy a new monitor!!
