Question about Acer Aspire™ T180 PC Desktop

1 Answer

I have just set up new desktop Acer. Error message: No input signal.

I have just connected brand new Acer computer with Emprex monitor. I have checked all connections. I switched on power. Nothing appears on screen except message "No input signal". I have also tried using User's Manual dvd provided, but this cannot be read on the dvd player for some reason. What shall I do?

Check the website for drivers. But it seems to me that there is another problem most computer boot up no matter what screen is hook up. have you tried any other monitors ? If you have and the work im not sure what your issue is but i would say that most likely if another monitor works that it is the monitor but if none of them work it is a graphic card issue. If you could let me know what you are running and i can help more i.e what window's and what type of graphics card you are using

My Acer m1201 desktop computer will not come on.After turning on , then switch monitor off and on , It says ACER, then "no signal" .How can I fix it?

Acer monitors all display the ACER logo when you turn them on. There are one of three most likely issues with the system.

  1. If the monitor has multiple input jacks (VGA/DVI), check to be sure that the monitor is selecting the input that you have the computer connected to. One of the control buttons on the monitor should select input source.
  2. If #1 is not the problem, the monitor itself may be faulty. The input jack may not be working. Test the system with another monitor if possible.
  3. If another monitor doesn't work either, then you have a problem with the on-board graphics adapter for the computer. You will either need to replace the computer, or if possible, install a graphics card into the machine to take over for the failed portion of the motherboard.

Problem with the monitor

hi,

first of all,try to connect the cable to other device(laptop) to see if is working, because if you receive the message"No signal" then the monitor is working but the cable/signal did not cross to the monitor, then is working with other device then try again or check if you can connect the monitor with different port if you monitor has one vga/dvi or hdmi.

The input signal out of range on screen persists in spite of all monitor and PC video settings being correct.

Have you tried uninstalling the graphics driver entirely and then rebooting? Could be a corrupted driver.

How do I fix the error no vga input signal no dvi input signal monitor going to sleep

Check if you VGA is properly settled in the PCI slot. Try to take it out, clean the slot for dust.
If that doesn't help, it is well possible that you VGA is not working any more.

Monitor no signal acer M1640

Check the cable at the back of the monitor and at the back of the computer. If the cables are in tight and you still get the no signal error message you either have a bad monitor or a bad video card in the computer.

Try plugging another monitor into the computer (borrow one from a friend, neighbor or family member if you don't have one). If the monitor does the same thing and shows a no signal message like your original monitor, then the Video Card in the computer is bad. If the monitors works, then your original monitor is bad.

I purchased a new Acer pc yesterday and am setting it up today. It says no signal on start up.. what am I doing wrong and how can I fix it? P.S: not really good with computers so please keep it...

This message is from your monitor ... there is something going on with your connection between the computer and the monitor. Check all connections - are you using the proper connection? Is there a switch to choose between several different methods? USB? RGB? Other?
