Question about Toshiba Satellite P35-S609: Pentium 4-3.2 GHZ, 512MB RAM, 80GB Hard Drive, DVD-RW/CD-RW, 56K Modem, Network ... (SATELLITEP35S609PENTIUM) PC Notebook
Problem is with clogged fan ports. Needs to be cleaned by taking apart. Fans can then be cleaned compressed air. You could try a vacuum to **** some of the debris out of the ports but be carefll not to provide too mch suction as it may damage some of the fins. This is a temporary fix as a complete dissassembly must be done. The CPU overheats to to the demands of the video decoding puts on the processor.

Hmm, could be an overheating problem.
Do you have any temperature monitoring software on your laptop you could use to check the cpu temperature while watching streaming video?
If not try downloading and installing this.
