Question about Gateway Computers & Internet
Have hpcomputer and samsung monitor moved everything and now cant figure where to hook up gateway speakers
The color codes [if even present] probably don't match
the PC should have its outputs marked with both color AND an icon::looking for 'line out'; headphone; speaker

SOURCE: I'm trying to figure out
Try connecting the speakers to another PC if one is available. This will let you know if the problem is in fact the speakers themselves, or something in the way they were being reattached.
Hopefully this will help you get to the solution, and please post back to let me know what's happening. Thanks for rating FixYa!

Which port do you have it connected in on the back? It should be connected to the green port. Also make sure that you dont have the volume muted. You can do that by clicking the speaker in the bottom right corner next to the time. The click the speaker and the bottom of that window. Its muted when it has a red circle with a slash throught it. To toggle it all you have to do is click it.

check to see if you have two ports in the back of your desktop, try the other one if you do. If not, there is most likely a loose connection.
