Question about Select Brands Elkay LKH190BK The Hot Water Machine Black

Open Question

My elkay hot water dispenser leaks when in use. The water leaks it seems from the hot water tube connection to the faucet. How do I fix the loose connection? Do you fix it by removing the faucet or from under the sink?

SOURCE: Leaking water

It probably does need to be replaced IF it is leaking from the bottom. It MAY, however, be leaking at the top and just dripping down to the bottom. If it only leaks when you're filling the cup, then it probably is a top leak. These are generally easily fixed by getting a new slip-on connecter to connect the copper tube connecting the faucet to the nipple on the top of the tank. to remove the connector, push the rings on the ends of the connector (where the tube enter it) towards the other end. Buy the replacement at Home Depot or Lowes before starting to see how it works.

Sylvania SE80094-1 hot/cold water dispenser faucets leaks.

It could be a build up of minerals from the water holding them both open. You will need to gain access to the water valves to clean their surfaces.

The water flow is coming out at about a third of the usual flow. What is wrong? and how to fix this problem?

Try removing the faucet aerator. Turn both hot and cold water on and see if flow is adequate. Clean or replace aerator if that's the problem.

30 year old Elkay bathroom one handle faucet is leaking from underneath. Does this use a replacement cartridge and how can I get a replacement part?

If it does have a cartridge, replacing it would only help it stop dripping out the faucet or from around the handle. A leak underneath is most likely to be a failure of the seal from the supply pipe to the faucet, from corrosion and/or hardening of the rubber seal that is part of the supply pipe connection. Shut off the supply. (Hopefully you have a shutoff valve under the sink.) And remove the supply pipe/tube/hose. This is very hard to do without a basin wrench. (All hardware stores have them, and they are pretty cheap.) Take the supply pipe to the hardware or home improvement store to select a replacement. Other than the material and construction of the pipe itself, and the length, there are only a couple of different fitting configurations.

Fan not working and sides are still hot

For your water flow problem and leak; Check in back of the refrigerator bottom right side facing the back. You will see two plastic tubes, one is for the water dispenser and the other is for the ice maker. Check for a loose connection at that point for the water leak.

Franke Little Butler instant hot water dispenser

I have the same unit and had a similar problem. If yours is the same as mine, look at the top of the water heater unit. The center spigot is for the for the how water outflow which is connected to surgical type rubber tubing. The hot water eventually dried out the tubing and it cracks, causing it to leak. I had to cut out the decayed portion and replace it. Franke sent me a replacement kit at no charge but I did replace the fitting on top of the unit. The fitting is a standard nipple that any HW store should carry. Mine is a female-to-female reducer that then mates to a nylon barbed fitting which the tubing goes into. Importantly the Franke supplied kit has nylon ratcheting hose clamps that keep the tubing in place as well as a barbed union with hose clamps to join to the exisiting hose feed (to the faucet).

Hope this helps! I'm now struggling with the hot water tap leaking after using it. It seems to stop after a while but it drips for some time. If you can help me there that would be great!
