There are several potential causes of deceleration vibration on a 2008 Yamaha V Star 1300 motorcycle. Some possible causes include:
Worn or damaged engine or transmission components: Vibrations during deceleration can sometimes be caused by worn or damaged engine or transmission components, such as the crankshaft, connecting rods, or gears.
Imbalanced wheels or tires: If the wheels or tires on the motorcycle are not properly balanced, it can cause vibrations when the bike is decelerating.
Loose or damaged suspension components: If the suspension components, such as the fork or shock absorbers, are loose or damaged, it can cause vibrations when the bike is decelerating.
Faulty brakes: If the brakes are not functioning properly, it can cause vibrations when the bike is decelerating.
It is important to diagnose and address the specific cause of the vibration, as ignoring the issue could lead to further damage to the motorcycle. It is recommended to have the motorcycle inspected by a qualified mechanic to determine the cause of the vibration and make any necessary repairs.
Try turning down your volume using the physical buttons until vibration is deactivated.
If it doesn't work here's another way to do this :
Go to your phone settings and click on the sound category
Uncheck vibrate when ringing
Go back and click on Language & Input
Click on Google Keyboard Settings then on Preferences
Uncheck vibrate on keypress
Here you go, vibration shouldn't bother you anymore. But keep in mind that it will not really save your battery life. If you want your battery to last longer, lower your screen brightness and deactivate Data Usage when you don't need it.
Some apps like Juice Defender can help you by doing this automaticaly.
4 cylinder engines vibrate the most of all engines- plus with the extra load of the a/c that will make it worse-check motor mounts-one may be broken and or resting loosely causeing the vibration-cheer Denny
Possibly a loose exhaust hanger that vibrates when traveling over a bumpy road or the Catalytic Converter Shield. The shield commonly will partially break loose and vibrate. Most exhaust shops will try to sell you a new Cat. Converter. If it's the shield, you can either try to "tack" it back up or take it off yourself.
do u feel the vibration in the steering wheel or in the seat,i bet the most vibration was coming out of the front brakes and a little out of the rear brakes,u might want to change the rear brakes if the vibration is still annoying, also were the front wheels torqued to spec when installed?? if not u might end up with warped front brakes again, hope this helped
Does the rattling occur whilst you are sitting still, and run the rpms up? Does it come in at a particular rpm, and then go away? If so, the heat shield is the problem. I see this quite a bit. If you can get it to do it at a specific rpm, have someone slide under the truck and, with a large screwdriver, pry on the front pipe and the converter shields. See if the vibration changes.
You just might not hear the noise when it is at speed or the engine vibrations are not at the right frequency to cause the resonance.
I'd check the heat shield around the catalytic convertor; they are notorious for doing this and we have one rattling currently too!
