I am having the same issue. Our power to the house went out and when it came back on the powerlight on the front of the tv was flashing red and green but wont come on. Our tv is plugged into a $250.00 surge protector and evenything else plugged into it is working fine.

you mean to tell me with all these same questions about the flashing pilot light, there is still no solution? I'm dying here. Turned the tv off fro about an hour, turned it back on and get nothing but the powerlight flashing fast between red and green. Any factory folks out there?

Please respond to spaminc@comcast.net as soon as possible. I am taking classes via my cable/college and I missing stuff left and right. Thank you.

This is a bad digital main board. Having to unplug and plug it back in is a dead giveaway for this problem. The part number for the main digital board is 3313TD3014A. Hope this helps.

Power indecater light stays red flashing green with clecking

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Blinking codes details of many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience.
If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

Power led blinking red and green wont turn on

For LG DU-37LZ30 specifically - On the power supply board, look for IC101, an 8-pin DIP IC. There will be three smaller electrolytic capacitors near it (C107, C113 and C125) marked 47uF, 35V. I'm being lazy here, but replace all three (only one is the real culprit). What is happening is that one of these caps is charged by line voltage until the IC (power supply controller) can start running. When this capacitor gets leaky, it cannot reach the proper voltage to start the controller. I used a 47uF, 50V replacement.
I have fixed two LG sets with this same problem. The other was a 26". It's a cheap fix!

Blinking power light

This set has a power supply and signal PCB. Since the indicator light is blinking, I would consider the problem to be a missing voltage from the power supply. Unplugging the set for a couple minutes may solve the problem. If not the set may still be under warranty. Contact LG (800) 243-0000 for a servicer in your area. Hope this helps.
