Zanussi ZWF16070W1- Door won't open..... help

Hope you can help - I have a front loading Zanussi appliance. I repositioned it today as it was jumping around with a heavy load inside - including adjusting the feet which meant interrupting the cycle and then tipping backwards. While pausing the programme, the power cut off and tripped the mains circuit breaker.

When I restarted it, all seemed to be well..... however when the machine finally finished the programme and stopped it now wont allow me to open the door to remove the clothes. The display light shows washing and doesnt go to the end of the programme. Is there some reset that I am missing?

I've tried running a full wash cycle again but that hasnt done the trick.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

The error message "Err" usually indicates that the wash program and option are not compatible. 40 degrees and 900 rpm Spin should be o.k.. I would try another wash program with no special options and see if the problem goes away.

SOURCE: Machine won't restart after reset, 'start/pause' button flashing.

Hello,

When you put it to drain/spin does the pump make any attempt to drain,if not it could be that there is something stuck in the pump,needs draining manually.Another thing to try is to find the fault code.If you hold down the 2 buttons on the far right of panel then press on/off button till lights start chasing,then release the 2 buttons on right hand side.Now the first function button by the on/off button you will need to press until the light above the button reaches the 9th or 10th position this will give you a read out in the display.
E10 = low water press.
E20 = pump or filter.
E30 = press. switch or heater faults.
E40 = Door swich.
E50 = motor.
Some of these numbers can vary there are more but those are the most common.After checking codes switch off machine then back on twice to reset.

Hope this helps.

This is most likely caused by a faulty heating element in the washer, you need to check it over and replace it .

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Could be water still left in the machine because the drain pump cannot operate efficiently so try this-

I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C

How can I replace the drum paddle on my zanussi zwf16070w1

Insert a screwdriver into the fourth hole in the lifter (paddle) and
bend back the anchor tabs. Pull the lifter outwards (towards the door) and detach from the drum. To insert the new lifter into the drum is needed to disconnect the tube between the tub and filter housing, than tighten the screw (through the hole in the tub) to secure the lifter to the drum.

F61 code door won't open

Error E61 is generated when the door is locked but open.

Switch the appliance off.

After 5 minutes, use a thin screwdriver to push the lock to the right and then release it.

Restore the power, close the door and try the machine on a spin programme.

If you are still having trouble after this, let me know what actually happens when you try to use the appliance. The more detail you give the better.

Hope this helps

Hi, I have a zanussi wwashing machine model= ghg1200apm. The door won't open. I plugged out the machine after the wash and when i plugged it in again, the door wont open. Can you help me?

Hi.

The door does not open because there is water inside the machine. To open the door you need to empty the tub first.

To empty the tub disconnect power, open the door at the bottom of the machine's front side, unscrew the drain filter cap and collect water using a container.

Usually that is enough to allow the door to open. If the door does not get released, try running a cycle again.

If still no luck, then the door is locked either because the pressure switch detecting water level is clogged with soap or because the power surge has damaged some component. In that case the machine must be partially disassembled to reach the back of the door opening mechanism. The door latch is reachable either from drain filter access or from top of the appliance.

Emptying water through the drain filter and/or restarting a cycle usually is enough to release the door lock.

Regards.

Zanussi washing machine has stopped in the middle of a cycle and i cant get it to go again. the clothes are still in it and full of water. How do I get it to drain so I can open the door

Remove the drain outlet hose from the outlet , and lay the hose down into a bucket or similar, and the water should syphon out, thus enabling you to open the door.
Check the filter after you have done this.
Hope this helps.

Zanussi front load washer door seal

Keeping the door open after your wash would help in keeping the interior dry. Do not push the door shut, just leave slightly open. Only before you begin your wash, check to see your cat is not inside.

Fitting a new door seal

unplug machine. Pull off retainer clip from the front , with both hands inside push up the seal untill its free. Then with the new seal apply washing up liquid to the gap on the seal. And fit this is fiddly. Then pull the spring you removed to loosen abit and with a screw driver to keep it in place throught the door lock thats why youve unpluged it. strech the spring around. the ease on the front part of the seal and replace the clip. put on a wool wash to check for leaks. appliance doctor
