Samsung Digimax 430- Ms/SD card error... Format? Ok Message

I have a Digimax 430- it has major problems. It acts REAL loopy, and won't
turn on, and if it does, usual come up with a "Format?-Ok" message, then I continue, pushing the on button again, then it says "Check Ms/SD Card" and will unable me to take pictures or anything!? Anyone have this problem too? Not sure what's the reason, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me
how to completely remove, then RESTORE the camer's software and such?

Does your camera support SD HC? Anything above a 2gb SD card is concider a HC; so if your camera can't support HC format then you can not use that card.

You might just need to format the new cards in the camera to optimize them. Try that.

The camera only supports SD memory (limit 2GB), not SDHC (4GB and more). The manual claims up to 1GB guaranteed, though the camera recognizes my 2GB card card.

I would try a different SD card in it to find out if it's a problem with the camera or the card. If you bought an SDHC card, it may not be supported in such an old camera, and you may have to find a plain old SD card.

Check SD/MS card, black screen

If you are using high capacity card i.e 4gb and above, it may cause the problem as this camera dos'nt support for memory cards more than 2gb,
Try cleaning the contact points of the memory card to ensure fine connectivity is established,

'Check SD Card' message

Looking at the manual Samsung only guarantee support for cards up to 1GB so I guess your new card won't work in this camera. Perhaps you can take the card & camera to your supplier and try other manufacturer's cards or just lower capacity.
