Question about Washing Machines
We have a 9 yo Kenmore He3 front load washer that has been skipping the final high speed spin cycle. After researchinging online I learned that it is most likely caused by the door switch. Upon inspecting the entire door operation I observed that the door sags causing the latch to not align with the switch strike. We held to door tight shut when the high speed spin should happen, and it did high spin. Can the door be realigned, or do I need to buy a new hinge assembly? Should I assume that the door switch has been spoiled and replace that at the same time? Thank you.
I would say the door should be removed and take a good look at how it strikes switch, it may just be a switch adjustment or door adjustment, with the front door panel remove you can adjust and test to see if switch is closed with a meter, this may save you money, heres a video on the link, its all about your washer, it shows you how to take it apart hope this helps,
if the door is too bad to adjust then replace it ,but i think with a little adjusting it will be okay, note make sure door rubber seal is in place also.
