    MIrran,

I used your advice and got the girinder to work but not before I found that ZI had swapped two 3 pin connectors to the computer board. This was giving me a a grinder jammed signal!

Hi,

If you look at the grinder parts you will see a little red mark, take the parts you lift off the grinder and put it back, turn it clockwise to the red mark is align. You have to press the adjustment pin to turn the grinder parts.

Have a nice day

Grinder jam on breville barista express

Only way to know for sure is by taking it completely apart and expose all the internal parts
Popping is not a good sign If it is electrical arcing you are playing with fire
or electrocution
If you are mechanically inclined they are not that hard to take apart as long as they have no security screws on it and you have to remember you might be voiding your warranty
But it is fun taking things apart No?

Incanto sirius states grinder blocked. Took apart

I own a Saeco Incanto Deluxe. It employs the ceramic grinder that has worked flawlessly for 3-4 years. One day it stopped and "Grinder Blocked" appeared. I removed the entire grinder unit, cleaned it thoroughly and calibrated the grinder. This did not fix the problem. After many similar attempts, I found the entire grinder assembly (motor, grinder etc.) online for $149.00. Install of the new assembly took me five minutes and it works perfectly. Please note that the ceramic grinding blades (there are two round ones that must be aligned corrrectly) cost $40 a piece (same site where I found the entire assembly for $149). My suggestion--save yourself the agony and replace the assembly if cleaning and calibration fails.

Just like my dad I figured I could fix it and

you might try going to bostitch.com and typing in your model number to see if they have a parts diagram, if not give me the model number and I will see what I can do.

Replacing hopper after cleaning

The hopper has two slots in the bottom that aligns with two black tabs in the base. Rotate the tab ring in the base counterclockwise and then install the hopper.

Astra home electric grinder

Turn adjustment ring towards fine, until it cannot move, then back towards coarse about 5 numbers, that should give you a good start on the grind.
