What is the laser classification of Staples mouse B250?

maybe this will help:

  • Class I laser product means any laser product that does not permit human access during the operation to levels of laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits as defined in Table I of 21 CFR Subchapter J Part 1040.10. Class I levels of laser radiation are not considered to be hazardous.
  • Class II laser product means any laser product that permits human access during operation to levels of visible laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits contained in Table II-A of 21 CFR Subchapter J Part 1040.10, but does not permit human access during operation to levels of laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits contained in Table II of 21 CFR Subchapter J Part 1040.10. Class II levels of laser radiation are considered to be a chronic viewing hazard.
  • Class IIIa laser product means any laser product that permits human access during operation to levels of visible laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits contained in Table II of 21 CFR Subchapter J Part 1040.10, but does not permit human access during operation to levels of laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits contained in Table III-A of 21 CFR Subchapter J Part 1040.10. Class IIIa levels of laser radiation are considered to be, depending upon the irradiance, either an acute intrabeam viewing hazard or chronic viewing hazard, and an acute viewing hazard if viewed directly with optical instruments.
  • Class IIIb laser product means any laser product that permits human access during operation to levels of laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits of Table III-A, but does not permit human access during operation to levels of laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits contained in Table III-B of 21 CFR Subchapter J Part 1040.10. Class IIIb levels of laser radiation are considered to be an acute hazard to the skin and eyes from direct radiation. Class IIIb laser products may have removable panels that, when displaced, permit access to levels of laser radiation ranging from Class II to Class IV.
  • Class IV laser product means any laser that permits human access during operation to levels of laser radiation in excess of the accessible emission limits contained in Table III-B of 21 CFR Subchapter J Part 1040.10. Class IV levels of laser radiation are considered to be an acute hazard to the skin and eyes from direct and scattered radiation. Class IV laser products may have removable panels that, when displaced, permit access to levels of laser radiation ranging from Class II to Class IV.

What is the slope buttons used for

If you have the standard RL-H3C then there are 3 buttons. Starting from the left there is the "height alert" then "manual" then "Power".

Height alert is a function that after the laser levels and spins monitors the position of the laser. If the laser moves more then a tiny amount then the height alert function is tripped, and the laser flashes it's lights and stops spinning (or spins slowly) to let you know the base line position of the laser has changed. Pressing the height alert button twice shuts this mode off.
Manual mode means after the laser is leveled, it completely ignores the level vials. You can turn the laser any way you want to and it will always spin and not cause any errors.
    Power is self explanatory.
If it's a RL-H3CS then it has two arrow buttons, that when in manual mode, allot one axis of the laser to be manually adjusted up and down to do a manual slope.

    Lazermark won't self level

There are 2 leveling systems in the lasermark lasers. The original was belt driven. The belts are rubber O rings, and break down over time. take the bottom off the laser and you can replace broken belts. It's a simply yet elegant system.
The newer ones use leveling cams. A tear drop shaped wheel on a motor, that raises and lowers one end of an axis to tilt the laser. The problem is because they have a hook at one end, they put a magnet in the cam to tell the laser when to stop turning the cam. If however, it reaches the limit, and then gets bumped it'll get the leveling axis stuck in the hook of the cam, and because the magnet is there, it will never relevel. What you have to do is, disassemble the laser, unplug the leveling motors and pull the wires for the magnet sensor out of the stuck axis. then swap the sensor from the other sensor in (as it wont level without reading the sensor) and then turn the unit on. It should be able to level at that point. The put all the wires back where they go, and you're on your way.

My husbands needs an onwers manual for Craftsman 180 degree precision laser level with laser trac mode No. 320.48253 to see what an item in there does?

I think the reason we can't find the manual for 320.48253 is because Ryobi took Craftsman to court claiming patent infringement because of one of the bases included in the Craftsman kit.The suction cup wall hanging base was to similiar to Ryobi's Airgrip base so Craftsman agreed to not sell in the USA no more.

We have a bunch of PLS180 units that are out of calibration. Is there any way to adjust these back to level. I have some concerns about opening up the unit after seeing the warning about laser radiation...

The manual describes the procedure for checking level and plumb for the PLS180 but if you have determined that your units are out of calibration you are right to be concerned about opening the unit yourself. Please contact PLS at 1-800-601-4500 to find an authorized service center for your lasers.
If you cannot locate your manuals to check level and/or plumb I an attaching a link to the PLS180 manual as the methods for confirming level and plumb are quite detailed and should be followed exactly as described.

How do you know when the strait line laser level and stud finder is on a stud

Hello. The instructions can vary from model to model, but most have a green indicator light that lights up when the unit detects a stud. There is a section in the manual (for most models) that will show/inform of the unit's individual method. Here is a link to the company's product manual support page. Click on your specific model to download the manual.
