I'm using an HDMI cable connected to a Panasonic DVD player. During my troubleshooting (tried connecting the RCA cables from an old VCR ... picture was fine), I discovered a Panasonic tech support number. They suggested I try another HDMI port on TV. Picture now fine. Thx very much for your efforts. Hope this response helps someone else..

Do you use RCA cables? If so sometimes they be cracked. I have had this problem before unhook the video or the yellow wire, and plug in the audio wire red or white to the video on the TV and to the DVD player if this helps then you have a a bad video wire.

Snowy picture

Clean the video heads. You can get a head cleaning tape. But the best solution is to take the top cover off and spray the Video Head with Servisol Video 40. Use cotton buds to clean any bad dirt off. Clean all the surfaces the tape touches. Allow to dry before putting a tape in. You might have to do it more than once. It will also take longer to clean if someone in the house is a smoker.

I have a picture but the audio is playing "snowy sound"

If it has a audio/video input connect a DVD etc to see if the same issue or not, also a model number is needed here for a answer.

My BD530 player doesn't play all movies clearly. Some come cover good others re all snowy

When properly connected to a High Definition display or TV, Blu-Ray Disks (BD) should play crystal clearly. Inserting an old "non-Blu-Ray" disk (or the original "DVD") in the Blu-Ray player will display a comparatively "fuzzy" picture. This is the difference between High Definition and Standard Definition. A "BD player" can not "upgrade" the picture quality on DVDs to that of a BD or High Definition picture.

Rent, purchase or choose Blu-Ray Disks (BD) whenever a choice is offered to view the High Definition version of a movie or video. Selecting the DVD version will provide the lower quality or Standard Definition version of the same movie or video.

Check the covers or disk itself to determine if the movie or video is in DVD or BD format. That will tell you what you can expect for picture quality.

I hope this helps & good luck! Please rate my reply - thank you.

Snowy picture, are heads dirty if so will head cleaner work, could there be another problem other than dirty heads?

if it is your heads, a head cleaner tape slowly grinds down your heads. Abrasion bad. Take to shop and have them clean heads with solvent and soft cloth or Q-tips. Might not be your heads, much electronics, but sounds like might be.
