I would like to assign photos to my contacts so that when they call me their photo pops up on the screen. As of right now, when they call the main screen says, "no image." Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how to get an image. I have the LG Shine CU720. Thanks!
All you need to do is change it so its either.. the contact is a SIM contact or.. umm ... i can't remember the name .. its under options but you can change it! I have the phone but right now mine has a broken L C D screen so i can't look to answer that 100%
But i figured it out after my brother gave me that phone - he said he couldnt do that but i figured it out in 10 minutes.
Something to do with when you make the contact you need to change it to either the SIM card or um.. i cant think of the other name butthere are several options for what you save it as.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Edit the contact's information.Touch the Edit icon or, if it's unavailable, touch the Action Overflow or Menu icon and choose the Edit or Edit Contact command.
Touch the icon where the contact's picture would go, or touch the existing picture assigned to the contact.
When no picture is assigned, the icon shows a generic human image.
Touch the Choose Photo from Gallery command.
The option could be titled Select Photo from Gallery or just Gallery.
If you have another image management app on your phone, you can instead choose the app's command from the list.
Browse the Gallery to look for a suitable image.
Touch the image you want to use for the contact.
Optionally, crop the image.
You can use the figure as a guide, though the cropping tool on your phone may look different from the one shown in the figure.
Touch the Save button to set the cropped image.
At this point, the image is cropped and set in the contact's information, but that information hasn't yet been saved.
If necessary, touch the Done or Save button to finish editing the contact.
The image is assigned, and it appears whenever the contact is referenced on your phone.
From the home screen, tap on the All Apps icon
Scroll to and tap People.
Next tap on the desired contact.
Then tap the Contact photo icon.
Then tap the preferred option.
Then tap the preferred photo location
Tap the picture of your choice.
Select the preferred composition and then tap OK
Now the picture has been assigned to a contact.
you can't add a photo which you have sent through Bluetooth as it is stored in a emulated environment. try to move the photo first on your images folder or whichever folder you want thereby removing it from the emulated environment. then go to contacts, tap menu, tap the contact you want to edit, tap the image, tap assign or replace, then locate the images you move and assigned it.
else you can also try the work around.
locate the folder where you stored the transferred photo, tap the image, tap menu, tap set as, there are some options asking you what you want to do, set as wallpaper, etc and one of them is set as contact photo, tap set as contact photo, locate the contact whom you want to assign the image and then tap save.
1. Locate and display the contact's information.
2. Edit the contact's information.
3. Touch the icon where the contact's picture would go, or touch the existing picture assigned to the contact.
4. Touch the Choose Photo from Gallery command.
5. Browse the Gallery to look for a suitable image.
6. Touch the image you want to use for the contact.
7. Optionally, crop the image.
8. Touch the Save button to set the cropped image.
9. If necessary, touch the Done or Save button to finish editing the contact.
this is what happen when you click assign i think you clicked assign the all contacts try click assign and click make sure you don't click assign to all contacts make sure you click the name of the person you want it to be assigned to. vote me
Although I could not get the sync software to work on my computer, I
could still transfer files by connection it to my laptop through USB.
It's just a simple case of plug and play. The phone will become the
next available drive letter, and the sd card is the letter after that.
E.g in my case, my hard drives take up the C:/ and D:/ drive, my sd and
memory card readers take up E:/ and F:/ drive, and my CD drive is G:/.
So the next available drives would be H:/ & I:/ It's very easy
to transfer files between the phone and the computer as it's just a
case of dragging and dropping into the folders. When connected to the computer, the phone cannot receive
calls or messages. It charges through the computer when connected by
USB lead, so there's no worrying about running out of battery while
your in the middle of transferring songs or pictures.
This might be a possible solution....as I have had the same problem, with 2 phones... Finally, I went to another cell phone rep - and we FIXED the problem!
My cell phone numbers in my phonebook are all saved with "1-area code-phone number" ie: 1-555-555-5555. The problem came from when people were calling me, locally, their number would come in as are code-phone number ie: 555-555-5555. The cell phone couldn't match the caller ID perfectly, so it would alternate between blank pictures, black pictures, wrong pictures.
Re-save your numbers, without the 1, and it should work fine - well, it did on my phone! :) Good luck!
I don't know how you can assign pics/music to sim contacts - I tried but I couldn't work it out as well. When I click 'edit' on a sim stored contact a menu appears with memory, name and number only.
However, if you move your contacts from sim to phone, you will be able to assign both pictures and ringtones. This time the edit menu extends to home, mobile and office number, e-mail, group, ringtone and photo (with photos make sure size is 680x480 or smaller).
you go on to camera, not where it says album but the little icon thing on the left click on that, then select across once and it will come up saying size you have to change the size to 72x72 for a contact photo then take the photo, then go back onto the contact you want and the picture will come up hope you get it:
you need to take the pictures in the smallest resolution in order to be able to add them to your contacts
