It is a hardware problem most likely or maybe no operating system, but most likely the devices not being connected. to the mainboard and such. if you have a warranty call dell or go to their website at http://support.dell.com/

My neighbor has a Dell Latitude CPt ppx that's about 6 years old. It won't open up to Windows now. Whenever it is turned on we see the big blue "Dell" start up screen. Then it says,...

Usually Dell has a partition that contain all the information to restore the factory setting of your Latitude,If it has not been damaged or erased, You can activate it in the Dell booting option on opening of the Dell computer press Ctrl + F11 to accesss the restauration menu

I have an older Dell Latitude PPX CPi that has nothing but lines on the screen. I hooked up an external monitor and it works fine. Swapped out LCD assembly with another PPX that I know had a good display...

The inverter is probably the most common failure on most laptop models and if you changed the LCD and the lines didn't go away, the inverter is the only thing that can cause them.

Advent 7109a bios password

I cannnot claim ownership of this information:

found on:
http://www.tech-faq.com/dell-bios-password.shtml

Christophe Grenier has written a program that will calculate the master BIOS password for Dell Latitudes from the Service Tag number. That program is available at http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~skynet/zips/latitude.exe.
If you cannot boot your Latitude to run this program, you can get the master password for your Dell by calling Dell Technical Support at (800)624-9896.
Dell Technical Support will request the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the bottom of your Latitude.
If you were not the original owner of the Latitude, Dell will transfer registration of the used Latitude from the original owner with only the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the tag on the laptop.
To transfer the registration of a used Dell Latitude, fill out the Transfer of Ownership form on Dell's web site.

Keyboard problem in Dell Latitude PPX C Family

Actually this is a common problem with these Dell's. I have never found a cure for it other than replacing the keyboard. Fortunally they are not expensive, you can usually get one off of eBay for around $20 or so.

Hope this helps

Dell latitude c610 primary or administraitor password unlock

I believe I can help you. Is this a Windows password after it boots up, or is this a bios power on password before it boots? The bios password on a Dell is generally on a white screen when it's first powered. Get back to me, and I'll get you thought this.
