Lan and Wireless show they are connected but no data passes
There are many different reasons that this can happen. Could be your wireless router or something in your laptop settings.
1. Click start -> type "cmd" (without quotations) press enter.
- In the command prompt type this: "ipconfig /release" (without quotes)
wait for it to release your ip: Then type in same command prompt: "ipconfig /renew"
This should release your ip address then renew it. If this does not work, then it may be your wireless router. There are 2 things you can do here as well. You can either take a cable and plug it into your laptop and into your router. See if you can access the internet like that, if not, then you may have to find something small like a ballpoint pen and press and hold the reset button on the back of the router for 10 seconds. Then remember to redo all your settings on your router. Your manual will tell exactly how to login to your router, as this can be different with every one.
Hope this helps.
