please remember that most pc suites except standard ones like nokia and sone ericson do not work properly on windows vista due to driver compatibility problems. you can get a data cable for the model you have from the local mobile shop itself. but getting the exact pc suite to work in vista is a bit tough one. so go ahead either with windows xp or connect your phone's memory card with a memory card reader with the pc
The only thing with this particular phone is that if you have a monthly account (skype pro) and you use your package as your regular phone you need to add every phone number you call to your contact list.
I haven't found a soloution to dial out from the phone using skype with out it being in the contacts list.
Ok, I had the same situation come up on both my LG UX830 and another lesser LG phone that me and my wife had with US Cell.... The only way I was able to get my contacts over to my instict s30 and my wifes 1st gen instinct is via bluetooth.... I first started the blue tooth on both phones and then paired them together. Once done, send send the contacts over. I recommend doing this by groups if possible, cause I can't imagine doing this one contact at-a-time. By groups I mean, your general group, your family group and so on..
