Question about T-Mobile Dash Smartphone

1 Answer

HTC Dash Got a used phone and it will not say on. it keeps shutting off. Got a new battery and it still does it. I'm charging the battery longer this time, with the hope it will last more than 5 minutes or so. I was told it was working fine, but wasn't used for about 5 weeks. Is it my sim card from my w490 that i have. Thanks, Lenny email: lenstan57@yahoo.com

I have htc p3300. once started charging its get switched off automaticaly

does the charge light stay on (orange led) on or does it go green or flash on-off orange?

could be battery issue..

on the charge slot on the bottom of p3300 there will be 2 bins left and right inside. try bending them slightly - ONLY slightly tho incase it snaps.
use a needle.
its wat im doing at the moment, im currenlty trying to figure this out so ill keep you informed if i find the soloution.
atm i have to have my phone on charge to use it, otherwise it just goes off but thats how im getting it to charge atm.

If i use ma dash for more than 5mins then it will

I had this problem before and it was very annoying. In my case, it turned out to be that the battery was no longer holding a sufficient charge. I bought a new battery and it cleared up the problem.

Battery life

I also have one and the battery life isn't that great.

You can try the this however -
In the Communications manager, make sure that the following is turned off;
- Data Connection
- Microsoft Direct Push
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth

This should ensure longer battery life after charge. Only turn the above on if you really need to.

Thanks

My HTC p3300 battery not gettin charged. It works on direct power for some time and get automatically shutdown after some time..indicating no charge. Keeps shutting down often.

I too have been experiencing problems. Replaced the battery but it happened again. The battery says it is at almost 100% capacity however several times in the day, when I go to turn it on it doesn't respond. I end up taking the battery out and then have to connect it to a charger (USB) so that the charging light blinks red once and then turns off. I can then put in the battery again and it will start up again. If I don't connect it to the charger cable to drain (get the red light to flash once), and try just putting back in the battery, I've noticed that the screen has a faint glow as though it was on but the screen is completely blank. I'm starting to think that there must be a short circuit somewhere because I'm going to assume that the new battery is good.

HTC S710 - Battery issue

Hi,
it could be either battery or charger, If the charger isn't supplying enough power it will fool the phone..
some 3rd party batteries and cheapo chargers can cause all sorts of problems like this.
best way to test is charge your phone by usb, it takes longer but will give you some idea of weather its the battery or charger.
Make sure that the box at the bottom of the power management window (dont charge by usb) is set to off. Also for best results remove any other usb devices from the computer this will leave more power for the phone.

Best of luck

Tmobile dash Battery or sim?

I tried the new battery and thought it worked and posted it to this site...and, after about 30 hours the same thing happened. It's either the phone or the software, but, since the problem began 15 months after I bought the phone, I tend to think it's the phone, not the battery or the software. I'm going to try to contact HTC since T-Mobile is useless.
