My panasonic SDR-S70 keeps coming up with check card every time you turn it on and does not allow you to record how do i get rid of the problem??

if you are using a sdhc card, a regular card reader will not recognize it... need to buy a special sdhc card reader... i found out the hard way

You can connect to any computer with a USB port. It appears as a hard drive after you tell the camera to connect (in the menu). Then just copy the .mod files to a spot on yor computer; there will be one for each movie clip.
Your next chore is changing them into MPEG files at the correct aspect ratio. If you shot in 16:9 they will be squished together unless you use the SDCopy freeware utility to set the widescreen flag. It also renames and downloads files for you, and it's small. There's a link from this tutorial page, which also explains a lot about aspect ratios and such:

Cannot re use a formated SDHC card in Panasonic HDD camera.

after formating the card u can re use it ,somthing is wrong with the card.Try once again after cleanning the card and card reader.

Panasonic SDR-H40-Date/time missing when transfering video to PC

get a capture card, an AV cord ( red, yellow and white cord) and record it onto the computer. This will push the date and time stamp onto the video. There really isnt any other quick solution :-(, unless you sport 800$ for a highend camera, then all harddrive cameras have this problem.
