Generic problem for all Web Cameras

Philips Webcam SPC110NC black screen

I have installed the Philips webcam SPC110NC. Went to the Philips siteinstalled and updated the correct driver for the webcam. When I connectthe webcam in yahoo messenger I recieve a black screen. The webcamfunctions properly in other programs just not in Yahoo messenger. Isthere a solution for this or should I return the webcam and purchase adifferent brand? Is yahoo messenger not compatable with this webcam?Thanks for any advice or help.

I had the same problem... unhook the webcam, uninstall the drivers & rehook it up & let it install them again & go to Philips website & download the update & reboot computer. Works great!
