On screen programming suddenly came back after January 1 2008. I did find I had to leave it on a different channel (public) as the cable channel seems to have SAP and does not let the lineup load. Once in a while the sound disappears, the TV has to be unplugged to regain the sound and the channel line up disappears until it can be loaded again. It is weird.

Tune your TV to a Public Broadcasting Station before turning it off for the night. You should receive your line-up.

Hello. Unplug your set from the wall for two full minutes and then plug it back in and try it again. This will reset it. If that does not do it, call your service provider. J.

Here is a whole forum discussing this.

It sounds like you need to reset your local zip code to 99999 then unplug the TV for at least 12 hours. Then plug it back in, reset to your real local zip code and go through the guide setup menus.

If when you go manually they show, and they are added to the lineup, make sure that they are not blocked by the rating system in your tuner.
For this, you'll need the password and all those things.
OK?

thank you

Not receiving guide plus + tv listing -no problem until 2 weeks

I called TimeWarner Cable tech support, and the solution is to unplug the power to the box, after 1 min plug back in, let the box reboot, and PRESTO, this time around, the guide should be working.
Note--this is a solution for the problem of online guide that is showing No Data in the boxes, but is bringing up the grid of times/channels/date.
If you can't get the Guide at all, I don't know if this solution works.
Good luck.

Mine stopped mid-
December. I used the old reliable 99999 as my zip code, turned off the tv for an hour, turned it back on, entered my correct zip code and was patient. Today, the 15th of January, it popped back up. I have a feeling that it is all due to the switch over. I think different cable companies are setting things up and the gude was lost during that time. Maybe if you are patient, it will pop back up also.

Guide Plus

Called the cable company..they said they don't block the signal. sooooo..

first..i unplugged the tv from the power source, and unplugged the cable from the wall. left both off for an hour, and reconnected power and cable.

entered the guide set up...changed the zip code from the area where i actually live to the zip code of the cable provider for my area. here on maui, there is only one provider.

used the editor in guide plus to turn on and off the channel line-up according to the published channels listed in my area tv guide.

24 hours later...voila..!! it WORKS..!! good luck..!!

Have you tried just hoooking up the DVD player by itself? Is the DVD player output setting correct? Also, make sure the "video input" is set for the correct channel that you are viewing (i.e. Channel 3).
