Hp psc 750 scanner failure message

Scanner failure message appears during warm up phase as light bar returns to its start position. It sounds like stop position is not being sensed as the motor continues to try and retract the light bar further than is intended.

The exact message is: "Scanner Failure. Turn power off then on again." Doing this does absolutely nothing to solve the problem. The problem just repeats itself with each power-up.

What does the exact error message say? The way you describe it, the issue is probably a hardware issue which means you'll need to get it serviced. That said, if you can post the exact error message, it may be possible to more exactly track down the problem. Thanks.

Remove power and leave out for 30 seconds. Hold cancel and left arrow and reinsert the power. Attempt to copy, if it still does not work you may need to have the unit serviced. Technical support can set-up an exchange if in/out of warranty, if out... it will be more that $100 for another unit. You can try to call some local providers for a quote on prices as they vary from ASP.

My hp psc 750 all-in -one printer scanner not working

A friend of mine had a HP printer (Not a PSC 750) that he had simply plugged into his computer and was able to print properly but received the "options not set" message when he tried to scan.

The solution was to install the HP driver package for his printer.

If you are using the default Windows drivers for your printer you may need to install the HP driver package to access all of your printers functions.

Scanner failure during the initalization/starts up.

Sound as if your scanner is broken..
Could be something in there stopping it from moving, the motor could be bad.
It might have Home Positioning errors, causing this error.
To get it Fixed? The machine is about 140 dollars on Amazon?
The company I work for, the first hour is 125 (I do not know how much it cost to repair these)
Unfortunately these little ink jet printers are not designed to be repaired. They are considered throw away.

HP PSC 750 Scanner Failure

The failure is probably due to a bad signal coming from the "eye" that controls the warming up. The "eye" has to catch a reflection from a small mirror which is probably dirty and reflects nothing at all ! So you always get continuously "warming up" .....
The mirrorl is somewhere very near the moving lamp.
I managed to repair my psc in cleaning that mirror. But ... be very carefull; it is not easy to open the printer and when you disconnect the command ribbon, write down how you did it !
I wish everyone patience, good luck and .... success !

?Scanner failure? error message

Usually this type of error message pops up when the scanner lamp isn?t warming up properly. This is what you should do: 1. Check if the lamp is on. 2. Unplug the scanner?s power supply and plug it back in. Try connecting it diretly to the wall. 3. If that doesn?t work: a. Unplug the unit?s power supply. b. Press ?cancel? and left arrow while reconnecting the unit. c. Release the buttons when the printer starts up. 4. Try scanning again. 5. If it doesn?t work, have it serviced.
