When i turn on the computer i hear the fan start up and the blue light flashes (power button) and on the monitor it says no signal. i have tries the power supply in another computer and that powers that. i have triesd removing the bios battery and also the jumpers moved and put back. and it still happens.

I also have this problem with my Acer netbook. I have only had it for 4 months and am in Turkey on an extended break at the moment. I have taken the netbook to a dealer here and have been told the problem is the motherboard, verified by Acer themselves. I am not happy with this as the netbook was not cheap and there appears to be a few Acer models with the same problem

Look onto your keyboard. There is a key that looks like 2 oval one shaded the other clear. Press FN and that key with the symbol on it. It will turn off your LCD and put it into the other. Then hit it again, both screens will have power, but slightly dim, press it once more to turn it off.
