How do i get rid of engine code 13 on my 1992 Lexus LS400

You change no parts

The only parts that get replaced, are
those that fail a test

Have a repair shop take over & find a problem
thru proper testing vs: a wish & hope strategy
on a guess, by replacing good parts

Its a solenoid...it engages the bendix and truck starts...bendix should retract because power to it gets shut off by ignition switch going to "run".

Only way bendix would stay engaged or get a signal to keep turning ???
Bad contacts in ignition switch...maybe ??

I keep blowing fuses when I try to start my 883. After tracing wires I can't find a dead short anywhere. All the lights and horn work fine. Only when I hit the start switch does it POP. I have checked...

Do not put a bigger fuse in the slot. If you do, you'll just burn up your wiring harness. A fuse is there to protect the wires. The fuse does this by blowing if the maximum current capacity of the WIRE it's protecting is exceeded. If it's blowing the fuse ONLY when you press the start button, it's in that circuit somewhere. I'd pull the starter relay and try it again. The relay is on the backside of the oil tank. You'll have to take the seat off to get to it. If it blows a fuse then, the problem has to be in the wire that comes from the start button going to the relay. If it does not blow the fuse, buy an new relay and install that. If it starts blowing the fuse again, you'll have to look at the schematic and find out where the wires go and trace them out. If you aren't getting any voltage at the blue wire, pull the relay and do a continuity check from the end of the wire where it plugs onto the starter and the frame. Pull the wire off the terminal on the starter and test it. If you have continuity, you have a short somewhere in that wire. Contact me directly at wd4ity@bellsouth.net and I'll send you a schematic. Remind me of what you need.

Good Look

Hello. My 1997 Chevy Tahoe refuses to start. The problems began with a bad fuel pump. I changed. It worked. The fuel pump died again. I changed it again and it has been working. I parked it for two weeks....

Now you have a good battery & a starter that turns over the motor

Have you cycled the key on & off with a fuel pressure gauge on the
fuel rail?

Do you have a fuel filter that isn't over 3 or 4 years old?

Have you checked for spark while cranking ? Use an old plug on the wires,
if you have ignition wires, don't ground the wire without resistance

If you removed the ducting & MAF Sensor it won't start

Tell us what you checked & exactly how that was done.

How do you find top dead center?

Locat #1 cykinder, remove the spark plug, Put a piece of cleanex in the plug hole and bump the starter. When you blow the tissue out, your piston is on the compression stroke. bump the starter, not crank. If you go to far then go aroun again When the piston is in up stroke compression, hand thurn the crankshaft until the piston tops out and starts going down. back it up so you are on the upstroke agai. then forward again until you crest again. Look on yhe front crank pully for timing marks line them up when you have #1 near its top.. The cylinders are numbered oon the manifold. Good luck
