Try this, its probably a small part of jammed paper inside or then theres a problem with the paper pickup, try cleaning it.

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

When i try to print its pulling the paper in wrong, and then saying paper jam whats wrong?

Hi,
Maybe the paper loading.Try this:-
  • Remove the previously stuck paper and turn the printer off and on.
  • Extend the paper guides by pressing down the paper adjustment lever.
  • Now load the paper making sure it goes into the center of the paper support and then adjust the paper guides by moving the lever up or down.
  • Make sure the paper guides rest against the edges of the paper.
Hope this helps.Thanks!

Paper feeding problem

Sounds like the rollers may need to be cleaned, take an older rag and wipe down everything and also check for jammed paper in the printer.

Let me know how this goes and if this doesn't fix it, then we can see what else could be wrong

My canon printer is getting jammed, when it tries to run thru it goes on an angle to the left side and gets jammed, How do I fix this?

That means that there is something jamming the paper on the right side. Check to see isf there is some paper residue from a previous jam near the rollers.

Also do the following:

85% of paper jams are caused by worn rollers . The rubber treads in the rollers wears down, making them smooth, so they won't pick up the paper. Sometimes, they are aged, which also gives them a smoother rounded texture, causing jams. The quick fix is to liven up that roller with a mixture of alcohol and soap. Damp a rag with the solution and wipe the rollers clean with it. That's make them more pliable and the paper jams will cease.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

When I put the paper in the printer and it starts to print I get a paper jam. what am i doing wrong

This is sort of scenario could be caused by dust inside the printer. Dust prevents the rollers from having a firm grip on the paper while picking paper. When one roller has a firm grip and rolls the paper well while the other doesn't, jam/crumpling results or sometimes paper goes in at an angle. So I will suggest you get a long handle brush and try to reach as far inside the printer as possible and brush (from the back and front; if you have a blower please use it as well). This, if properly done should do it. Brush especially the rollers etc.

Good luck and God bless!

When going to print paper is pulled in angled and jams thanks

i do not know the model of the printer that you have, but the most common problem is that you have something stuck in the area where the paper is not being pulled in. You might have a small piece of paper jammed in there or some foreign object. It is also possible your sensor is jammed and the paper is hitting it.

Lastly, if you have 2 pickup rollers (depends on the printer that you have), one could be worn out.

Printer jam...i took the back off i see no paper jamed anywhere. I removed the paper and reinstalled it still the light come on saying there is a printer jam

To resolve this issue please do the following:
1. Open the printer access door(the gray part)
2. remove the cartridges
3. remove the printhead, to remove it press the release latch located on the upper left edge of the printhead where you put the black ink
ff17ccd.jpg
4. Then close the printer access door WITHOUT the printhead and the cartridges.
5. unplug the printer and wait for 30 seconds and plug it back
6. it will give you a missing printhead error
7. install the printhead first, close it and then it should give an error missing cartridges. install the cartridges and if you no longer have the error upgrade the firmware by going to www.kodak.com/go/downloads
I hope that helps. If not contact kodak technical support for further troubleshooting.
