Dell v305w shadow printing

My Dell V305w All-In-One InkJet Printer is printing shadows behind my black text only; color is perfect.

    Thanks. But I've tried changing the cartridges, aligning the cartridges, and cleaning the cartridges. I printed a page of text with different font size. Approx. every 1/2" the print shifted in the middle of the line.

Hi
Try re-installing the black cartridges.
Also check them for possible clogging.

I did the following and it has stopped printing "shadows". I don't know if it was one solution or the other (or both) that worked.

1.On the face of the printer press the "Menu" button>Admin Menu>Maintrnance>Color Reg Adj>
Auto Correct>Yes
2. "Menu" button>Admin Menu>Maintrnance>Clean Developer>(Pick problem color)>Yes.

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

You would need to install a driver for the printer into each device. Unfortunately, Dell does not have an Apple Driver for this printer to install in your devices.

Text will print in color only. Black will not print - even with new cartridge.


it could be the coagulation of ink in between the cartridge or black print headbetter clean it or dip the cartridge in mild hot water for some times and replace it wiping the water. it would do the trick and solve your problem . it has been practicallytested.

How do you make black and white copies on dell V305W?

I have a Dell V305W Printer. Just replaced the color cartridge but it still says ink is low, and color is not printing. How do I make the printer realize there's ink there?


Try canceling all pending jobs and unplug the printer from the wall for 15-30 min so the orinter has a chance to reset its little brain.
