Hi, A lot of these LCD screens have the same problem (strip of white, blue, red) lights on the screen.
Try this move the TV to another room to rule out any interference. Check all connections on back.
Hello - it's called burn-in and is a common problem with Plasma TVs. It happens around the 3 year mark. Later models from Hitachi have a white-wash option which can wipe the screen free from blurred marks etc. Have a look in your manual to see if this feature is available in your TV. If not, and you have a video camera, you can replicate the effect by filming a white sky or something similarly bright and white, then playing it through your TV and pausing the plainest, whitest shot you have. You'll need to keep this showing for around 24 hours. It's important that it is completely white, as if any of the film has a dark dot or mark, this will add to your burn-in problem. It's a bit of a long work-around, but it does work. Bear in mind that as your screen ages the problem will return at some stage. LCD displays don't suffer from this problem so that's something to bear in mind when the time comes to replace your TV. I hope that helps :o)
