Question about D-Link DIR-600 Router
I have a D-Link DIR 600, which I have set up manually. When I connect it to my PC and connect the modem through it, the status comes up as connected, but neither firefox nor chrome connect. My laptop (macbook) recognises and connects to the network, but will not connect to the internet either. Please help.
If this is the case, there is no problem with the router. the problem is with the modem.MAke sure that the cable from the modem goes into the WAN(Internet) port of the router. And also, what kind of internet are you using? is your router set up properly to work with your provider?
Is there any problems when you connect your pc to the modem directly with the cable, or does the problem occur only in the wifi connection?

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Run the windows wizard to setup a network connection from the control panel. Be sure you have the security type and code if you have security enabled on the wireless router.

I would suggest you try to change the channel to a higher one and this solves this problem most of the times...You need to go to your router configuration to do that usually by opening a browser and type 192.168 ... and log in into your router...Hope this helps.
