There is no easy repair on a Bosch dishwasher. I guess Bosch figured it would run forever. To replace anything (except the wash motor start capacitor) you will have to remove the dishwasher, flip it upside down to do most repairs.

Kenmore Gas Range Burner screws stripped -Help!

Hello-

I am not familiar wit this stove, but in general, you can try to drill out the screws with a power drill. If you feel comfortable doing this, you need a punch or awl, hammer and a power drill with a sharp THIN drill bit. Using the punch and hammer, put the punch directly in the center of the broken screw base and begin to hit the punch (gently at first) in order to put a pin point indentation into the remaining part of the screw. Do this multiple times as needed. The idea is to make a indentation in the screw where you can set the drill bit and begin to drill out the screw remnants. If you do not do this, the spinning drill bit will wander around the screw hole and potentially cause damage. Press down while drilling. Use either a variable speed drill to slowly begin the process or use short bursts of the drill's on switch until you can drill out the broken screw. If done correctly, you will see as you drill through that the screw's threads will eventually come out and should not damage the thread in the hole. Use can use new screws ordered from Sears or take one of the remaining good screws to the hardware store to seek replacements. Use the new screws to secure the burners into the stove.
Hope this helps!

Lofra service perth

Instructions
    • 1 Disconnect the range's power supply, either by turning off the breaker in your service panel, or unplugging the range from the wall outlet.
    • 2 Remove the burner grates, burner caps and burner bases. On some ranges, the burner bases are secured using screws, which you must remove.
    • 3 Insert a putty knifeicon1.png into the gap below the front of the each side of the range to release the spring clips securing the top to the range.
    • 4 Lift the top, and then have a partner hold the top up. If you are repairing the range alone, place a sturdy object under the top to secure it.
    • 5 Remove the burner orifice containing the igniter that you are replacing.
    • 6 Remove the screw securing the igniter to the underside of the orifice, and then remove the igniter.
    • 7 Pull the igniter wire off of the terminal, and then discard the igniter.
    • 8 Connect the igniter wire to the new igniter.
    • 9 Secure the new igniter to the underside of the orifice using the screw that you removed.
    • 10 Replace the burner orifice, and then secure it into position using the bolt that you removed.
    • 11 Lower the top onto the stoveicon1.png, and then press down to engage the spring clips.
    • 12 Replace the burner bases, caps and grates.
    • 13 Restore power to the range by plugging it back into the wall outlet or turning on the range breaker.

How to do a lp conversion

Some basic helpful instructions below. Really not much to it. Convert the regulator and replace the orifice. Basic instructions should come with the kit if purchased for that specific brand and model.

In my opinion, always best to buy the conversion kit at a local appliance parts store to be sure of getting all the required parts with specific instructions for the brand and model.

Basic Step By Step Instructions:
First access the burner compartment. Usually a small access door in the lower right hand or left hand corner on some brands or models. Remove access panel.

On some brands and/or models the entire front panel must be removed. Look for screws in the door frame and/or at the base of the front panel. May have screws in both locations on some machines.

Some brands and/or models the top lid must first be lifted up wards. On many of these machines there will be no screws in the door frame. Usually only two screws are the base of the machine. Some no screws anywhere external. In this case, if there are two screws at the base remove them.

Then insert a thin blade or old credit card between the top lid and front panel about two or three inches in wards from each corner. Push in wards to release the clips while lifting up wards on the top lid. Each clip can be released separately or both at once.

Once the front panel is removed or access door is opened, look to the right of the gas control valve. There will be a tiny gas shut off valve on the gas supply pipe. Turn that tiny lever so it is across the pipe. Doing so turns off the gas to the control valve.

Than remove the wire quick disconnects from the solenoids on top of the gas valve. Than loosen and remove the hex nut on the control valve to separate the gas supply pipe from the control.

FYI:
That hex nut is reverse threaded. Which means the hex nut turns opposite (counter clock wise) to loosen it and clockwise to tighten it. Use a backup wrench to hold the pipe while turning that nut counter clock wise.

Once the pipe is removed, there will be two or more sheet metal screws holding down the plate the control is mounted onto. Remove those screws.

Than carefully remove the burner out enough to get to the wires attached to the flame sensor, which is attached to the burners shroud cover. Remove that wire quick disconnect also.

Than remove the entire burner as an assembly. Remove the brass or bronze orifice in the burners nozzle. Replace the orifice with an LP or NAT orifice to match the BTU rating of the burner.

BTU rating is on the manufacturers plate with the model and serial numbers, usually located in the door frame. Most dryers are either 18,000 or 22,000 Btu's. Install an LP or NAT orifice to match the rating.

Than convert the built into the gas valve regulator. By removing the cap on top of the tower and turning it over and reinstalling it. Cap should be marked "N" or "NAT" for natural gas and "L" or "LP" for propane.

Turning the towers cap over converts the regulator. Side of the cap facing you indicates the fuel type it is set for. Not all regulators are convertible in this manner. Check with any local appliance parts store.

Some gas control valves do not have regulators that are convertible while some have a set screw to turn to another position or a lever to turn to another position. Several variables are possible.

Appliance parts dealers are an excellent source for original replacement parts and conversion parts. Dealers are listed in the phone book under appliances.

Be sure the electrical power to the appliance is turned off, before attempting any repairs. Always check for gas leaks when reconnecting any of a gas part.

Use the reply button to add additional information or ask additional questions. Doing so will automatically move your question to the top of the forums list of questions.

DRYER SERVICE TIP:
It's always advisable to clean the entire exhaust venting system every 2 years. Or during any dryer maintenance, connection and or repairs.

How do I replace a broken stem on the griddle knob of a forty-eight inch Viking range?

You would remove all of the knobs and then you remove the screws holding the face panel on there. Then you can access burner valves. The new part may not come with a preset orifice because the factory does not know which type of gas you have. So what they do is tighten the orifice all the way down. Lets see if I have a viking service manual:

How do I change an orphase from a natural gas to propane?

If you have converted the burners and the regulator, all you have left to do is the oven and broil burners. (for self clean oven model you posted under)
Let's do the broil burner first. Open oven door and look up at the broil burner. At the back of the oven you see the tube that the gas flows through to get to the burner. At the base of this tube is an air shutter opening, and right there you will find a brass nut with a hole in the center of it (the burner's orifice). Use a 1/2 inch wrench to turn the nut three full revolutions clockwise looking at it from the burner side. It is easier to turn it twelve 1/4 revolutions.
Now, do the same to the main burner by removing the storage drawer, remove the one screw holding the metal plate so you can get at the base of the burner, and do the same to that orifice. Do not over tighten the orifices.

LP conversion for Thermador 4 burner range top

I have a Thermadore 6 burner gas cooktop PCG366E purchased January 08. I purchased the LP conversion kit, they only make one kit for all models. The instructions included with the kit were written for an older model and have not been updated by Thermador. The gas regulator is located next to gas inlet pipe. You have to get at it from above. Remove the 2 star burners over that side of the cooktop. You will need a 20mm socket to remove the nut at the center of the star burner. Lift it off and disconnect the wire to the ignitor ( You need to push on the spring lock in order to seperate the the connector terminal). Remove the stainless steel pan and then remove the metal pan underneath ( you will need a Torxs bit for this screw or vise grips). You should now see the regulator. At the top of the regulator is a cap with the letters NG visible. Twist this a 1/4 turn ccw, lift up and turn over to expose the letters LP reinsert. The regulator is now ready. You will need to replace the orifice tips at each burner. Use a 7mm socket with an extension. Put a piece of tape in the socket to hold the orifice in place while you insert it. You also need to adjust the valves. You must pull off the knobs and and remove the trim bezel. If you look through the screw hole on the right you will see a screw head (bypass screw). Insert long skinny flat blade screwdriver through the hole and turn the screw CW all the way (about 1/4 to 1/2 turn in my case). My cooktop had two burners with a low simmer feature, This devise is located in front of the bypass screw. It has a hole in it but does not align well with the head of the bypass screw and makes it difficult to turn the scew. Thats it, I hope this info has been helpful. I have not yet connected the propane therefore have not tested the unit but it should work.

Convert from natural gas to propane

Step 6:
To prepare the new unit for LP gas you need to adjust several items. First you will need to replace the range orifices or spuds. These are individually sized with marks and colors.
remove_spud-s.jpg Step 7:
Using a nut driver, loosen the old spud and replace with the new one.The trick to keeping from dropping the spud down inside the range is to use a small piece of aluminum foil between the driver and the spud. This should provide enough "grip".
If you do drop one down inside, you'll need torx wrenches to disassemble the burner units and get inside.
orafice_setting-s.jpg Step 8:
tighten_orifica_on_broiler-s.jpgThe oven orifices need to be adjusted. Using an open-end wrench, tighten down the brass fitting on the oven burner valve.
Step 9:
There may be two orifices, one for the broiler and one for the main oven burner.

reverse_for_lp.2.jpg Step 10:
You will need to reverse the plastic pin in the regulator underneath the range. Remove the hex nut and flip the plastic pin and reassemble the nut.
Do not over tighten!
The last step is to open the air shutters on each burner as per directions included with the range conversion kit.
