My infoglobe that I bought fr. Sharper Image....it shows date and time only occasionally and then goes dark. Occasionally, it shows an incoming telephone call...HELP!!!

Hi,

Just reset the unit.Disconnect it from charge.

Just follow the reset instruction in this pdf.
http://www.lima.com.tr/BasicTiger/Applications/PDF/appn_071e_The%20magic%20globe.PDF

If still the problem persist the problem is with the box circuit. You need to do continuity testing on the board to find the exact cause.

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

Olympia, and/or Sharper Image infoglobe. Need fix.

It appears that you have already removed the 4 screws. The globe will not just fall off, it has to be pried. Take a small- bladed screwdriver or a small-bladed pocket knife and gently pry from any small opening you see between the globe and its base. Work the blade around the globe and it will come off. I just did it and now I'm trying to figure out how to get inside the "guts" of the globe. Will keep you advised.
