Replacement thermistor for sharp 8560

It seems that there are no longer replacement parts available from Sharp for this microwave thermistor. It's a very old unit built in the mid to late 80s, but in perfect condition other than this thermistor. What led me to this problem is that the microwave will operate for 2 minutes in convection mode then stop working. Pressing start again will get it going for another 2 minutes. The leads on the exposed side of the part are completely corroded on one side the actual component still registers on the ohmmeter. I thought about re-soldering the part, that will most likely not work given the high temps it's exposed to. Any advice for replacements? The original part number is:FHHZ0019WRE0, 5K based on the wiring diagram on the inside cover schematics.

If you need a manual for it try looking on line for older copiers. Since that unit was built back in the mid 80s.The other person that helped you on the toner is exactly right.

SOURCE: Sharp Microwave Oven

Quite often this is due to grease or food particles stuck on or behind the waveguide cover.

The waveguide cover is usually about the size of a playing card and often held in place by a plastic rivet.

It can be fragile, and the metal edges of the oven behind it can be sharp, so be careful!

The cover and the metal behind it should be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia cleaner.

If the cavity metal of the oven is chipped or charred, it will have to be sanded smooth and clean.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart or Lowe's.

If your waveguide cover is burned, it will need to be replaced.

SOURCE: How to locate and replace copier exhaust fan

Hi, H3 is abnormal high tempeature in the fuser. Never had issues with the fan, probably you have a 'melt down', inspect the fuser through the sprung loaded flap and see if the three picker fingers that rest on the roller are melted. If they are then you require a fuser rebuild to include both fuser rollers, fingers, bearings and thermal fuse.

Cheers

SOURCE: Sharp Covection Oven/Microwave stops after 1min on any setting

This 59-second stop failure is due to a problem in one of the damper-related components, most likely the switch, but it may also be the motor or the damper door.

The damper is a door inside that opens or closes depending on cooking mode. If the controller thinks that the door is not in the right position, it will shut down the cook cycle.

See the attached sample photo.

I need a manual for sharp model r-303cw

I haven't found the instruction manual available as a free download online. However, there are several places to buy a copy. Sears Parts Direct has a printed copy for sale for $4.49 here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Sharp-Parts/Microwave-Parts/Model-R303CW/0958/0123245/50022360/00001?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= . The current part number is IB-R303CK. Searching for the part number gave several other sites with the manual available.

The Sharp R-308K is a very similar microwave and that manual is available as a free download. See http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/7167/SHARP-Countertop-Microwave-L0906397?brand_name_search=Sharp+microwave .

I hope this helps.

We have a sharp r-9h84b convection microwave and the carosel has stopped working when the tray is in place. Any thoughts the carrosel seems to rotate very slowly when there is nothing on it.

It's almost certainly a bad turntable motor.

The part number was RMOTDA079WRE0 but it is listed as no longer available.

In some cases, older microwaves are available locally at repair shops or on Craig's List.

If you want to keep your eyes open, this same motor was used in the following Sharp models:

R9A20
R9A50
R9H11
R9H60
R9H66
R9H71
R9H73
R9H76

R9H83
R9H84
R9H84B
R9H91
R9H91B

Good luck.

I have a Sharp micro wave model R-1492. It turns on, but nothing cooks. Do you think I may need to replace the magnatron

first before you replace the most expensive part of the unit, check the h.v. diode and h.v. capacitor, the thermistor on the magnetron tubes outer case side, you will need to remove the top cover to accomplish these things

R-9h81 sharp microwave oven

Replacement keypads for the R-9H-series of microwave ovens are no longer available.

So for as long as you can get by with the oven like it is, go ahead, but the only solution id to replace it with a new model.

You can contact Sharp at 1-800-BE-SHARP (1-800-237-4277) or visit them online for current equivalent models.

Sorry I can't bring better news.
