Your community's public service radio frequencies may have been rebanded. Rebanding was the result of services throughout the nation being moved in the 800Mhz band.

The Pro-2096 scanner can be reprogrammed to receive your old services in the new band with software that is run on your computer and connected to the scanner. It is available for a small fee ($30). More information on this can be found below:
Many scanners are not capable of upgrading, and were reduced to "paper weights". Consider yourself lucky that a $30 upgrade will restore the full functionality of the radio. A great deal of information on your scanner can be found here:
