I have the same problem, but I am using a DVI to Component cable. I have gotten a monochrom double screen so far out of my LG Plasma when hooked up to my computer that has an HD 2400 Radeon Pro. I have tried adjusting the settings on the CCC but it still has not helped. I have an LG 46" plasma. I cannot use the VGA or the S-wire either due to the location of the tv and my equipment. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The problem may be the resolution. Your TV will run 1920x1080. You might try changing the resolution to that and then try connecting to TV again.

I own a Philips 34PW8502/37, The picture is hourglass shaped, the images "bow-in" on the left and right of the screen

You have an East/West error caused by an amplifier that "modifies" the frame pulse and modulates the line scan to compensate for a tupe that has not got a 90degree scan.
Follow the scan coil leads and there will be probable dry joints and the pcboard or a power IC that has failed.
Hope this helps but a service manual will be of great assistance to you.

Stream Sony XR550 AVCHD from PC to Panasonic TC-P50G25 via DLNA with PS3

PS3 DLNA Video-Play MTS/M2TS Videos from Computer to Non-DLNA TV with PlayStation 3
Full Guide to Setup Windows 7 for PS3 with DLNA Streaming to HDTV

The HDTV in my living room is non-DLNA compliant. It is the 50-inch Panasonic VIERA TC-P50G25 Plasma HDTV. Even though my PC is running Windows 7 with WMP 12, the videos could not be streamed to the Plasma TV via DLNA. It is quite inconvenient for home sharing.

When looking for the solution for playing videos from PC to non-DLNA TV, I got to know that I could download my Sony XR550 videos from camcorder to PC, connect PlayStation 3 to HDTV via HDMI cable as the media player - Stream Sony AVCHD from PC to Panasonic via DLNA with PS3. The PS3 is generally used as game console. I also use Aunsoft Final Mate to join the AVCHD files from my XR550 to manage the clips for certain occasion and events.

The first thing I do is to make sure PS3 can read the videos from PC. As Windows 7 is DLNA compliant, I just need to make sure the "Windows Media Player Sharing Service" is enabled automatically. Get the clips to the shared folder for video.

Note: The "Windows Media Player Sharing Service" is available in the Service section. Just right-click on My Computer > Manage > Services and Applications > Services, and you can find "Windows Media Player Sharing Service".

Wait for a while, and PS3 would read the video files from PC. Then for playing AVCHD files flawlessly via DLNA with PS3, we join clips from Sony XR550 into one large file. Run Aunsoft Final Mate, and go to the Resource tab to browse the folder with the .mts files from XR550. Click the Create New Movie button, drag and drop files from Resource tab to the movie ID. Click the Export button and the files will be joined seamlessly for DLNA sharing.

Tips:
If the PS3 does not display the PC as source folder, we shall allow the access to Windows 7 as media server.

Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change Advance Sharing Settings, and you would face the window like below:

Make sure the "Network discovery" and "File sharing" are selected as turn on. Go to the Media streaming section and click "Choose media streaming options..." to make sure you allow PS3 for streaming. Then PS3 would read video files from PC for HDTV playback.

I have a HP Pavilion a6838F computer and I want to hook it up to my Hitachi 46" Projection TV (Model# 46GX01B). What cables do I need to do this. I want to watch movies, etc. on the big TV rather than on...

Warren:
Your PC monitor uses the 15 pin VGA connection for the output of your PC.
Does the Hitachi 46" have this type of 15 pin female input connection on it?

The problem is that I don't believe your Projection TV will display the output resolution that your PC outputs.
Many newer LCD or Plasma flat screen TV's have the VGA input feature's as they are made for High resolution inputs such as HDTV '1920 x 1024'
Sorry I just don't beleive that the TV will display the quality image you are so used to on your PC monitor.
Blessings,
A/V Media Guy

Watch movies from computer to tv

look on the back or sides of the unit. it should have a hdmi cable hookup, it will look like a monitor input, then you have to make sure you set the tv input to that. then you have to set your laptop to add another monitor to be able to use it.

Watching hd movies online

All you need to watch HD movies is a fast internet connection. Your monitor and PC will be fine. Also, you cannot turn up the brightness only in windows media player or vlc player, you will need to turn up the brightness by using your function key command, which is hold down the Fn key, and press the sun symbol, which is probably blue, and next to one of your F keys at the top of your keyboard.

Please rate, thanks!

Yes you can. This TV has both VGA-In and component in support. The only thing you need to change is the input you're using with your remote control. As easy as changing the channel!
