How to take cover off canon pixma mp610 printer

It says it has a paper jam. so how can I take the cover off to get to the jam . it doesn't have an error code number. Just says: Error paper output slot the paper is jammed. clear the paper and press OK. I have done this several times and doesn't fix the problem. When I take paper out of back paper slot it has a crinkle in the middle bottom of the page. So maybe there is something stuck inside the machine? Can you give a schematics to show how to take covers off and get to the inside of machine? Thank you! Gary

Please help with cannon PIXMA MP150 printer problem, when trying to print, It reads that paper is jammed but I've checked several times and no paper is jammed. Printer will not print due to this...

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!

Paper jam means their may be small bit paper jam in side
, actually there are some "micro sensors" that detect a paper jam. There will be tiny piece of paper inside those sensors, thus tripping the sensor and paper jammed keeps coming up.
To solve this first of all Open printer cover and check to make sure no paper or foreign objects obstructing the printer feeder
, If you become sure that now really there is no paper, dust or foreign objects then Turn the printer off, and disconnect the AC power-cable. Open the printer cover & now give the printer a "blow-job" by compressed air.
If still problem exist then best & final option is to just contact to any Canon Printers service provider.

I hope this solution helps you

Error 6A00

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!

The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam. Some where in the paper path a sensor is activated indicating paper jam so the printer will give off a 6A00 code.As a Canon technology,I usually find the code almost 90% of the time it is related to the purge unit being jammed with something and not being able to move.Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods etc.
I have found all those things in a purge unit. The offending item needs to be removed or the purge unit needs replacement.A
Canon Pixma MP610 would still be under Canon warranty, get it into a shop and save yourself the hassel.
Incidentally, the 6A00 error pertains to all Canon printers made in the last several years, its not just used in one model & its always a paper path error or purge unit
I forget myself so here goes, the purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP,lexmark & other ink jet printers,is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing. That is why you 'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it. It also has a an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow

My Canon Pixma MP610 printer will not print. It

Possible causes: Empty cartridges or new cartridges with cover strip still on the contacts, plugged printhead, wipe with warm water on paper towel to see if all colors are there, also physicallyclean the black cartridge. Try to print. If not working, use the printhead clean and or prime in the printer's maintenance tab.

I have a severe paper jam from the cassette of my printer. The paper is jammed behind the rollers and I can't figure out how to get to the paper to clear it out. When I turn the machine off and then on,...

Your best bet is to take the cover off. Once it is off, you will have better access to the paper that is stuck. If you can access the gears on the side, you can turn them manually to help move the jammed paper along, otherwise, a long set of forceps or needle nose pliers may come in handy.

Good luck!
