Question about Toys

Open Question

Hasbro spring action lightsaber sound effects work rarely, I think it's a problem with the mechanism but I can't open it up... All the screws have been removed but no luck, help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the quick responses, unfortunately its at least two years old so the warranty is defititly gone.
I'm not sure about the model number, the only things I can find on the box are these: "8124/87123 Asst." and "C-086D"

SOURCE: Hasbro Star Wars The Clone

If this was purchased new, I suggested that it be returned to the store, It sounds as though the wires inside have come disconnected from the internal speaker, or possible that the small motion board was not installed properly. If you have any questions feel free to message me back.
Please remember to rank how my opinion has helped with your appliance situation.
Thanks again,
Rick

Need a replacment battery/speaker assembly for a Mace Windu C2945A Lightsaber.where can i get one?

If you can't clean the connections. It is no longer supported by Hasbro. You might try a local small appliance repair shop if you have one. They may be able to clean/repair the battery holder to return it to functionality.

How to get take apart a hasbro model C-029A

With a flat screwdriver (or similar) pry up the left-hand side of the blade release button. Expand the seam down the side of the lightsaber to get it to release. Inside, there is a metal release that when pressed down releases the blade. It should connect to the plastic button somehow... I got it jammed in the "release" position (so the blade doesn't lock anymore) but that's better than it being stuck in "lock"...

My daughter's Butterscotch Pony is in great shape, except for a loud gear-grinding noise that we have traced (and watched with a flashlight) that appears to come from a large white plastic gear that is...

Yes, that is the fault in question: that plastic cog was supposed to move the head and it's making that noise because it's slipping, because the gear shaft is not properly aligned with the motor - it's how the head mechanism was designed: badly and with low quality parts.
No, this is not automatically fixed by Hasbro with a head replacement - this happens only when the cog breaks due to the abnormal stress that's put on it, not your case. All you can do is to slightly grease the mechanism and refit the head as best as you can.
