Question about Brother HL 2140 Laser Printer
The printer slid onto its face from desktop computer height of about one feet on to carpet floor, while off. Now it prints blanks w/o err. msg.
When text files are printed directly from USB connected computer, pages come out blank.
It does not demo print. "Demo button pushed while switched-on" action yields a blank page, it supposed to print firmware info...
I changed the toner, still the same.
I reinstalled firmware and driver and other software (see br. site), still the same.
Printer is a few months old, lightly used at home.
It must be a seating/contact problem. Yet I expect brother to give an error msg.
Where are the contacts inside and how do I get access to them other than disassembling all covered areas?! Cable connections, PCB's, schematics?!
This is the first bro. prn. I buy. Are these printers any good?
Check the corona wire in the drum area . there is some thin wire check the continuty an clean it.
