SOURCE: My Epson Stylus SX515W won't feed 250gsm greetings

Epson recommends you use Epson media if a third-party heavy (card stock) media has feed problems.

The printer (depending on the model) should be able to take 255 g/m2 or 300 g/m2 genuine Epson media.

I wish that I could be of more helps.

What is the maximum paper weight I can use in the Epson R300?

If you can download this brief guide,
(in an Adobe PDF file), it lists a number of papers. The R300 can print on a heavyweight matte paper, photos, iron-ons and greeting cards, but they are all Epson papers. They shy away from recommending other products.

See if you can obtain samples from your favorite copy-shop and print with them before committing to a larger buy for your project.

Epson R300

First of all turn the printer off & disconnect all of the cables. Turn it over and give it a shake, you'll be amazed at what gets inside the feed hopper. Next try a stiff piece of A4 card (the backing from an A4 notepad for instance), feed the card into the paper feed and push it through quite hard to overcome the spring resistence. Once it has started to go through open the lid and check if it has pushed anything through the rollers. Feed the card all the way through the mech and pull out of the front. Hopefully the card will have cleared the paper path of any objects and reseated the sensors.
Good luck.

Won't feed paper

when you say ''heavy weight'' do you mean thin card etc.
Most printers dont like to use thicker paper. does it make a noise. like gears slipping or crunching when it is trying to feed. if this is the case, then the feed gears maybe worn.

There might be some problem with the Roller. I think you have to locate and clean the roller.
