Question about Epson Stylus Photo R340 InkJet Printer
Epson R340, using CIS, did long print run and then received message to replace the yellow cartridge. I have turned off, switched back on after short, medium and long time (1 min., 5 mins. and overnight) Have attempted to use SSC Service Utility (V. 4.30) but am not sure whether this was used correctly by me. I have cleaned the chip surface with IPA and Windoline, I have replaced the cip - no success at all - just requests to replace the cartridge. I also have an R300 and did a similar thing but this recovered after using SSC and is fine still. Any advice would be much appreciated please. O/S =Win XP Pro by the way.
Same problem with my R200. In reading solutions across net, said to use genuine Epson yellow and after finished, save chip from it to use on other non-genuine yellow. As soon as I put the genuine Epson yellow in, the problem went away.
