How do I fix an lg42ld450 tv that has a blinking red light and a blank screen?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

My LCD Panasonic TC-L42U12 blinks 14 times does some one have the Error code list to see what I need to fix?

13 blinks means a communication error on the A board (main board). The part number for the main board is TXN/A10PYHS. I would recommend TSM for a replacement board. Good warranty and price.

A 3 blink error on this model is saying that your lamp cover is not on properly. Check your lamp cover and door. Make sure they are seated sucurly. If this doesn't fix your problem. Then the switch or little board buy the lamp cover is bad and needs replaced. This is called the T board.

Tv wont turn on but blinks 9 times again and again

9 blinks is a ZCD error code (zero crossing detection) which means it is a bad g board. I had the same problem with this tv and have yet to fix it cause you cant find the board you need anywhere and most suppliers have boards that they fix themselves which only work for a month or 2 and then die. but you need to replace Replace D6301 on "G" board and d6116, d6117 i use 1n4148 for the little smt diodes, d6301 nte116 should suffice
it will be those few diodes and 15-20 caps on the am board if you choose to fix it yourself. here is a manual that lays everything out for you if you choose to fix it yourself. click here for repair manual
if you need further assistance please let me know and i will be glad to assist you from there. thanks and good luck
