Question about Frigidaire FEF336BC Electric Kitchen Range
Having used the oven to bake earlier in the morning, I switched it off and left the door open so the heat would warm the room. I can't remember if the door was open or closed when I turned off the heat, but I know it was some 30 minutes later that I closed the door. I remember seeing the words "door lock" or "door locked", flash very quickly on the screen.
No light appeared so I thought no more about it until I needed to use the oven again some 3 hours later.
The door will not open, I can see through the slot behind the horizontal handle that the lock catch in the lock mode. There is no light on in the screen, nothing.
I have tried pushing in the door and holding my finger on the OFF button, but nothing happens.
I called the GE help and repair line, switched off the power for 20 minutes. and still no luck.
Hopefully you will have the answer.
Regards, Ann B.
You are going to have to remove the back panel and manually turn the lock motor to release the door lock catch. To chat with me live and walk you through how to repair this visit www.applianceoutletservice.com Thanks, Bill
