The (remanufactured) cartridge worked earlier. Now the printer claims that it does not recognize the cartridge. Some weeks ago, the printer claimed that the cartridge was empty... What a lot of hazzle!

Error code E6 after I inserted a remanufactured black (pg30) ink cartridge. Continues after removing cartridge and turning machine off

You could try to press the stop/reset button for at least 5 seconds.
If this does not work, remove both ink cartridges, close cover, turn off printer
Unplug printer, wait at least 20 minutes, plug printer back in.
Wait until printer stop cycling, install ink cartridges.
If there is still an error, the cartridge maybe bad.

My mp210 d'ont recognize cartridges after I refil them.

These cartridges have a very high failure rate when refilled. After refilling, insert the cartridges, and when the prompts show up on the computer, click ok on the first box, but when the second dialog box shows, press cancel or resume on the printer, not on the screen. This will turn off the ink monitor for the rest of the cartridges life. If this does not work, keep in mind that these carts have about a 50% failure rate, so the cart my just be defective.

PIXMA MP210 Photo All-In-One Printer: Alarm light is on and I have just refilled my cart...

I work in a refill shop, and we have noticed that after refilling cartridges for Pixma MP210, they won't work.
Try holding the "resume" button (triangle in circle), for about 10 sec. for each cartridge- that should reset the cartridges (and usually it works with every Pixma printer, but almost never with the MP210, I really don't know why)
If that doesn't help, you should buy new cartridges.

Printer not recognizing pg-50 cartridge

I had exactly the same problem. I called the Canon helpdesk and apparently the PG-50 is not compatible with the MP210. I then bought a new PG-40 which works fine.

Bit annoying as I have wasted £35 or so on the PG-50. This is also a bit misleading from Canon as the PG-50 fits into the MP210 perfectly, and when you are looking at it on the shelf it looks like a long-life version of the PG-40.

But there doesn't seem to be any way around it that I have found. Just bite the bullet, write it off to experience and buy a new PG-40.

Epson stylus dx 7450 printer

You have a wide format printer but it has the same basic principle as the desktops. You can buy remanufactured cartridges which were reset for you. Or you can refill them. If you refill them, you need a resetter because Epson cartridges have a chip on them which needs to be reset. Because when they are empty, the printer will recognize it as empty and will not function till you put in a new cartridge. If you bought a remanufactured cartridge, and your printer won't recognize it, you need to go back to who sold you the cartridge and either have them reset it or give you a replacement.
