SOURCE: The freezer is cold but

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

First off inspect the back of the freezer compartment for any signs of ice or frost build up that is larger than you ever noticed before. IF you notice an abundance of ice / frost perform a 2 hour manual defrost with a fan directed at the freezer compartment. Contents of the freezer removed and the unit un-plugged. Then return the unit fo service. Should there be an automatic defrosting system problem the cooling problems will return in 2 to 4 days depending upon how many times the unit was opened. If you still have the problem after the manual defrost session the next suspect would be a problem with air damper / diffuser PN: RF-2190-01 Since this is a manual control of moving a plastic diffuser to control the amount of air to the fresh food compartment I doubt this is the problem.
I really think you have an automatic defrosting problem (
Components that can cause the automatic defrost system no to work properly

Defrost themostat PN: RF-7350-63 (not shown)
And the defrost control... not listed or shown. However, you can carry the old part in to most any appliance parts source and get a generic timer that will work. You unit should defrost some where in the following intervals. Once every 6 to 10.35 hours depending on which defrost timer control is installed.

The detached cable your seeing if most likely for an un-installed ice maker water valve. (i.e no ice maker kit installed / nothing to worry about.

Do a manual defrost... and if the unit starts warming up again in 2 - 4 days start troubleshooting the defrost timer, defrost heater and 60 deg bi-metal thermostat.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

My haier fridge freezer is making a loud buzzing noise. Any ideas what it is and can it be repaired

Depends what type of buzzing it is?

It may be an alarm telling you something.

It may be a mechanical buzzing from a motor, relay or solenoid.

Check your manual so see if it has alarms.

Google
make model manual
or visit the Haier website

Some do have an over temperature alarm like this one, so check that the freezer door is properly closed and not impeded by frost build up.

My Haier fridge freezer is making a very loud and constant knocking sound. Is it still safe to have switched And does anyone know what the problem could be?

Pull the fridge freezer out and see if the loud knocking sound is coming from the compressor. It's that black round thing at the bottom in the back. If it is, it's time to go shopping.

HTE14WAAWW - defrost water from freezer appears to be entering the lower cooling cabinet thru "ceiling" of lower cooling cabinet. Drain line plugged?

Yes, Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";} Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

either the compressor is under charged or it is near breakdown. compressor cost is almost the 1/3 of the freezer cost.

Remove coil on back of refrigerator very gently and support the coil against a kitchen chair or counter. On the back of the refrigerator there is an access panel. Remove 4 screws holding the cover. Remove the bottom of the freezer compartment by removing screws and pulling bottom straight out. Remove Styrofoam panel from freezer by cutting tape along side edge. Once the Styrofoam panel is removed you will see fan blades. O n the front of the fan blade there is a spring. Pull the spring off by pulling straight forward with pliers or fingers. Remove the 3 screws holding the fan motor to the refrigerator in the rear access panel. The Motor should now be free. Unplug the plug from the connector by lock latch and pulling straight up. Now you must free the fan blade from the fan motor. Grasp the fan motor and pull straight out. This fan blade is really hard to get off. Try separating the two halves of the blade, where you removed the spring, with a screw driver. The motor is available from Repairclinic.com. Good luck.

Haier htq18jaa fan replace

First make sure your door switch is okay. Other problems could be your defrost timer, evap. thermo. etc.. Make sure that it is your fan before replacing it. To replace it you take everything out of the freezer and remove the rear panel. You should see the fan at that point. You can check for voltage at the fan by disconnecting it and measuring for 125V at the leads. If when the door is closed you have power replace the fan. If not check all other possibilities.
